This is the way my family enjoys our taco salad (and I sneak in a few veggies while we are at it!!) It may vary a bit from time to time dependant on the ingredients on hand, but the basics are the same.
I found this from Bush's beans. Looks like a fab stew - since I like all the ingredients! Green chiles, garbanzo beans and pork, oh my! Chances are I might be inclined to throw a little cheese and sour cream at this for garnish, but I am twisted that way!
A New Mexican favorite meatless dish often eaten during Lent when traditional Catholics abstained from meat dishes. Quoted from the Bueno foods website. Another delicious chile - red or green! NOTE recipe calls for Bueno frozen red chile, but Zaar does not recognize this. It is not whole peppers....as might seem implied here. http://www.giftbasketsjust4u.com/pubs-us-bin/giftbasketsjustforyou/GBJstore.cgi?user_action=list&category=Frozen%20Chile
A delightful New Mexican dish from the Bueno website. Love their chile products - SO wish we could get them out here!!! ** Note that the recipe calls for Bueno Brand frozen Green Chile, but Zaar did not recognize this at the time.
The puffed pillow of fried bread called the sopaipilla was thought to be “invented” in Albuquerque over 200 years ago. A good thing made even better when stuffed with a wonderful bean and green chile sauce mixture. Another lovely recipe I am dying to try from Bueno's website. Sopaipillas and chile? YUM, say it isnt so! Makes eight 12oz servings according to their website listing. :) Can't wait to find out - now off to locate the mix!
***PLEASE NOTE that the Bueno sopaipilla mix and green chile sauce are not recognized on Zaar, so please be sure that is what you are using, not just any baking mix or plain green chile. It will not be the same. ;)
Another nice soup I am looking forward to trying from the Somersizing website. Looks great. For anyone that isn't familiar with Somersizing, you need to eat the right combination of healthy fats, protiens, carbs, etc. It's all about balance. ;) SuzanneSomers.com **I haven' tried this one yet, I am guessing on the servings.
This is a recipe from the website that other Somersizers have posted - said to be terrific and it fits within the guidelines. I saw many used a rotisserie chicken - bet that would add come nice flavor and speed to this dish! I enjoyed Somersizing last time around, and OBVIOUSLY need to get back to it!! ;) Enjoy!! Appears to be Level One meal - but there is an additional section for anyone wanting to make it a LEVEL TWO meal. **Original posting called for 3tbsp of tomato paste, but most reviewers semed to like the recipe changed this way, so I am posting as such.
A quick, easy and somewhat healthy dinner fix for anytime you need to get dinner on the table quickly and keep 'em happy! Can even be a great appetizer or dip for a party. ;) I use this often and it keeps everyone asking for it over and over. Black olives are a great addition for a dip- or if your family will eat them - I use them off and on depending on if I have them in the house!
This is from the Rachael Ray Show. I am making this tonight for a quick, easy dinner! Will post pictures ASAP! Would be great with a green salad for a figure friendly meal-maybe even a twist on the traditional taco salad??
