This is so easy, delicious & healthy! We tried this with raspberries & didn't like it as much. I found this on a vegetarian website & made a few minor adjustments. Enjoy! Your cholesterol levels will thank you, lol.

Now THIS is worth writing home about, so here I am! I wanted to do something different with my cranberry sauce this year. Enough of the citrus, no shallots for making compote...vanilla! I have a few dried out beans that I've been hoarding! Now that we have a supply of fresh beans, time to use the old - why not drop one in the cranberry sauce? How bad could it be? OMG.....it was divine!!! Vanilla sugar adds extra vanilla flavr but you can certainly use regular sugar.

You will have more mayonnaise than you need. But that is good news, as it tastes great on all sorts of vegetables and on poached fish, and can be used to bind a chicken salad or as a sandwich spread.

This recipe is from a wonderful cookbook called "From the Cook's Garden." It makes a sturdy homestyle bread with a hint of sweetness. I like mine spread with herbed cream cheese and topped with garden-fresh sliced tomatoes.

Recipe by Tom Douglas. The icing for this cake is not a classic fondant, but an almost transparent powdered sugar glaze flecked with rosemary leaves and lemon zest. The rosemary is blanched first, to remove some of its pungency. For a less dressy cake, you could omit the fondant. Simply brush the cake with the lemon syrup and serve with sliced fresh figs or small bunches of grapes.

Impressive and delicious for your Valentine’s Day dinner. Look for heart shaped molds for the cream! Cooks Notes: Long passive time is for cream mixture to setup.

This recipe comes from Nicavid's Bakery & Cafe in San Antonio, and I was delighted to see it published in the local paper's "Chef's Secrets" column. Delicious hot or cold.

I am a huge Bobby Flay fan, so I found one of his recipes for the Zaar World Tour: Grilled Pork Tenderloin a La Rodriguez With Guava Glaze and Orange - Habanero Mojo. MmmMmmmm!

I was looking for Cajun seasoning for my New Year's Day black eyed peas. This is based on Julie Sahni's recipe in "Savoring Spices and Herbs" with a few alterations. Everyone loved the peas, btw. NOTES: I ground only 1/2 the herbs/spices for textural effect. I usually grind up a whole nutmeg & store in a jar so there's always an amount of fresh nutmeg on hand. "Cook" time = grate & mix time.

I thought of this combination when thinking of Christmas Eve seafood recipes. It is so simple & was a big hit. The mustard makes kind of a crunchy coating that everyone loved. This is intended as an appetizer but can be very easily scaled up or down.

It looks fancy but it's so easy!! Cooking time does not count the hours of cooling in the oven. It would work best making the meringue either the night before or early in the day then finish just before serving.
