LIght Moroccan meal starter, untried by me. Note that cooking time includes chilling time. Adapted from "It's All American Food" by David Rosengarten. Posted for ZWT NA*ME

    Recipe #428587

A great accompaniment to Middle Eastern type sandwiches. Sumac can be purchased ground, or as whole berries you can grind yourself. It can be found at Middle Eastern groceries, and sometimes at well-stocked regular grocery stores. If you can't find sumac in your area, you can substitute with a little bit of paprika, cayenne and lemon juice instead. Untried by me, posted for ZWT NA*ME. From "It's All American Food" by David Rosengarten.

    Recipe #428590

Great shrimp appetizer. You could probably stretch this into a meal with some couscous and veggies, too. Untried by me, posted for ZWT. Adapted from "Around the World in 450 Recipes".

    Recipe #428595

Nice little scones filled with raspberry jam and topped with a rosewater-flavored glaze. These would be a nice addition to a Valentines Day breakfast, especially if you use a heart-shaped cutter. Adapted from Bon Appetit Feb. 2005.

    Recipe #173903

I found this one on allrecipes and tweaked it a bit. It's a wonderful salad for a cookout or potluck, and leftovers keep well (it makes quite a large batch). Don't let the long ingredient list scare you off, it's actually very simple to make. For any ingredients with a range of amounts, the least amount is what I like to use, the greatest amount is what the original recipe calls for. This is a vegan-friendly recipe if veggie broth is substituted for chicken broth.

    Recipe #61930

Found this in a cooking magazine I picked up, and it looks amazing (simple, too, because I can use the indoor grill)! Posting it so I don't lose it. Just in time for ZWT II, too.
