This drink is mentioned in "Anne of Green Gables" and the recipe comes from a website about Prince Edward Island.

    Recipe #123581

I love raspberry and almonds together! I adapted this recipe from one I found on America's Test Kitchen. Toasting the nuts adds great flavor so don't skip this step. This recipe is easily doubled and would then be made in a 15" jelly roll pan.

    Recipe #232922

In the same family as carrot cake, this version is lower in calories and fat, but still flavorful and moist. See who guesses the secret ingredient! This cake improves in flavor 2-3 days after baking.

    Recipe #427226

The Bread Farm, in the tiny town of Edison, Wa, not only makes great Artisanal Breads, but fabulous shortbread too. I adapted a recipe from the web to try and match theirs. Does not include chill time

    Recipe #428507

A simple and delicious custard sauce to serve over cake, fresh fruit, pie or anything else that could use some dressing up! Note - the cooking time does not include 30 minutes to steep the vanilla bean in the custard or cooling time.

    Recipe #483272

This was adaptated from a cook book where each chapter was dedicated to special guest - in this case for the cookie chapter it was Mother Goose. When made with whole wheat pastry flour and leaving out the chocolate chips, I also refer to these as "better than Cheerios for breakfast cookies". My kids always loved them, especially with the chocolate chips! You can use smooth or chunky p'nut butter, and quick or old fashioned oats. These are a firm cookie, great for sack lunches. Cooking time is per cookie sheet.

    Recipe #439077

This recipe combines the simplicity of a baking powder biscuit, with the gooey deliciousness of a cinnamon roll. I have been known to double the topping! These rolls are on the smaller side - they will serve 4-6 depending on how much sweet you want.

    Recipe #439084

These muffins are really moist and really lemony. This is my oldest son's favorite muffin. The recipe come's from an old copy of Bon Appetite. My Dad always likes to add a few lemons into packages he sends us from California, which always makes these muffins extra special. 9-16-09 Since this was first posted it has become very difficult to find yogurt in the 8oz size so you either have to buy 2 6oz yogurts or add a little extra plain yogurt or a little sour cream. This is a very firm dough, not a loose batter like most muffins, but the muffins still come out nice and moist, enjoy!

    Recipe #123630

This muffin is simple, flavorful, and moist. Using whole wheat pastry flour and oats also make them a fairly healthy start to the day. If you substitute blueberries for the peaches add a 1/4 tsp of cloves. I like a lot of spice and use the higher amounts given.

    Recipe #272309

We love our coffee in Seattle and not just to drink! These are a quick, rich little treat, similar to Mexican or Russian Wedding Cookies; they go perfectly with a hot cup of coffee or tea.

    Recipe #362660

These are a tasty morsel of a muffin, that's great with a cup of coffee or a glass of milk. My preference is to leave out the chips, but my kid's wouldn't have them any other way. The small size brings out the intensity of the vanilla. Use the batter with out the chocolate as a base for a delicious regular sized berry muffin.

    Recipe #138265

This is a delicious banana bread that is not too sweet. Carry a copy of the recipe if you take the bread with you anywhere, because people always ask for it. Using whole wheat pastry flour gives this a ligher texture than regular whole wheat flour. This mix also make great muffins. Bake around 20 mins.

    Recipe #226775

Fresh berries are prolific in the Pacific Northwest during the summer, but we freeze them to use all year round. These are delectable in them morning or at teatime. The muffin is the perfect support for a mixture of raspberries, blueberries and blackberries, for a change try a single type. Fresh or frozen berries can be used. The topping is an extra delight, but can be ommited.

    Recipe #231927

These are homey, old fashioned cookies that have a wonderful richness to them. The recipe was given to me by my dear friend Mary, who is like a 2nd mother to me, and one of my favorite people to swap recipes with.
