This is a simple way to make a fresh and elegant dessert, it's been a family favorite for years. You can make the crust and pudding ahead of time and put it all together before dinner to give it some time to meld. Use whatever softer type of fresh fruit is in season - our favorites are raspberries, blueberries, halved strawberries, sliced banana, kiwi, peaches, or plums. I usually use 3 or 4 types and make bands of each type; peel the peaches, bananas and kiwis before using.

    Recipe #483635

This is a simple and flavorful crust which is the perfect foundation for your favorite tarts.

    Recipe #272116

This is a rich and decadent burnt creme that is served at Scott's, a very popular local restaurant. This is perfect for special occasions when calories don't count or when you need some total comfort food!

    Recipe #275603

This a French peasant dish; a rich and indulgent treat that is comforting and delicious.

    Recipe #483271

This is an Ina Garten recipe - don't be intimidated by the steps, it's really quite simple.

    Recipe #483264

This cocktail was named for the French 75-millimeter howitzer cannon

    Recipe #483261

Ooh,la,la! Perfect for a cocktail party or lounging on the deck.

    Recipe #483258

I've been making this recipe since I was first married over 27 years ago and it is still a family favorite. I made a turkey for our first Christmas and used this for the leftovers after seeing the recipe in a Campbell's soup ad. Now we actually prefer it made with chicken, so I almost always roast 3 birds at a time so there will be leftovers to make 2 pies. This is wonderful served with cranberry sauce and with leftover mashed potatoes and gravy. The preperation time doesn't include making your pie crust.

    Recipe #123580

This is a very simple and quick French Bread. It has a finer texture and more of a chewy crust than what you get from the bakery. I found this in an Bon Appetite years and years ago. I sometimes make rolls rather than loaves. With this coming together so quickly you can easily make large batches; with two students helping to shape the rolls I've made 6 batches, start to finish in under two hours. Prep time doesn't include rising time.

    Recipe #114709

This is heaven for all chocoholics! My sister-in-law gave me the recipe in high school over 30 years ago, since then it has become a signature dish. Several of my children's friends request it for their birthdays. Don't let the length of the prep. discourage you. The ring is fast and easy to make. I have made it in heart, candy cane and tree shapes for different occasions. You can also make bite size or full size individual puffs (or anything in between), though the ring is the quickest to make.

    Recipe #112573

This is a basic recipe that every cook should know how to make. My family loves this with mashed potatoes and gravy. When all 4 of my kids lived at home I would often roast 3 chicken at a time, so there would be leftovers for chicken pie, sandwiches, or Ceasar Salad. Try different combinations or amounts of the herbs and spices, we tend to like our food highly seasoned.

These are not for the faint of heart but for the true chocophile. They are very rich! Serve with raspberry sauce and whipping cream, for an easy, elegant dessert. For the best flavor and texture, use high-quality chocolate. If substituting chocolate chips for the chocolate, be sure to use a high-quality brand, such as Ghirardelli bittersweet chips. Time does not include chilling before serving.

    Recipe #233250

I love raspberry and almonds together! I adapted this recipe from one I found on America's Test Kitchen. Toasting the nuts adds great flavor so don't skip this step. This recipe is easily doubled and would then be made in a 15" jelly roll pan.

    Recipe #232922

I don't know where I got this recipe, I think I picked it up for my teens to try (I don't like cold coffee). It seems like a good alternative to the high priced drinks at our local coffee stands. When making coffee in the morning, refrigerate the leftovers to make this later in the day.

    Recipe #232918

This is a simple, elegant chocolate dessert, with a slightly rustic look; it's perfect for dinner parties or any night. It has a wonderful combination of textures from the crust of the torte the moistness of the cake and cherries and the slight crunch from the almonds. We've been known to devour one with another couple as we played pinochle; a slice between hands and soon it would be gone! You can serve it warm (my favorite way) or at room temp. Always serve with real whipped cream.
