A simple side dish that will transport you to the Caribbean.

    Recipe #373756

A cake that blends a favorite drink with a rum cake and pound cake. This is dense, but not heavy, and the spicy molasses kick from the dark rum enhances the banana flavor. You may use light or dark brown sugar.

    Recipe #373477

The scotch bonnet pepper is a key ingredient, but if you can't find it, a habanero would make the best substitute. You may want to wear gloves while cutting the pepper and don't rub your eyes until after washing your hands! Time does not include marinating.

    Recipe #373807

This is also very good as leftovers. Time does not include marinating time (1-24 hours)

    Recipe #373778

A Caribbean favorite! This makes 1 5 ounce drink.

    Recipe #372491

A Bahamian cole slaw. Use any firm apple.

    Recipe #373863

I found this Guyanese dish on a site for Caribbean recipes. The time does not include the marinating time (minimum 2 hours).

    Recipe #373850

A great drink that is the perfect balance between tart and sweet.

    Recipe #373746

A side dish from the Bahama Breeze website. They serve this with West Indies Patties and Jerk Painted Fresh Fish

    Recipe #373865

These burgers are spicy, but have the coolness of lime. Be sure to use only the green part of the lime zest.

    Recipe #373877

A much more cost-effective way to have coconut milk on hand. One pound of dried coconut will make gallons of coconut milk.

    Recipe #373762

A basic, rich ice cream. Time does not include chilling.

    Recipe #373689

A Guyanese recipe I found on a site for Caribbean recipes. If you cannot find a scotch bonnet pepper, you may sub habanero. I haven't tried this yet, and the recipe does not specify servings, so I'm guessing. To give the flavor of the scotch bonnet pepper, but not the heat, simmer it whole as directed in the recipe, but take it out before serving.

    Recipe #373858

Time does not include chilling. To make mango pulp, peel and cut mango before grating through a sieve.

    Recipe #374048

    Time does not include chilling.
