I don't know why Cornelia left, but she's not on 'Zaar anymore- so this is my homage to her. For a while you could still get all her recipes under the user name "Deleted," then they were moved to the Recipezaar account. Recently all the recipes under that account were "adopted" by various members. So, despite the names on any of these, they were originally posted by Cornelia. I am trying to collect all the recipes she posted here, so please let me know if you know of some I don't have or if some that I do have are wrong. You are missed, Cornelia!

Very easy (only three ingredients!). Ingredient amounts are approximately -- it doesn't really matter how much you use, it will still turn out fine.

    Recipe #55317

This recipe has a bit of a convoluted history! It was originally posted by a poster who left, and then was put up for "adoption." Since I'd made it before and loved it, I took it on as my own! I did change a few things when I made it; I had some apples to use up, so I cored nd sliced them and when I poured the batter on the griddle, I arranged the apple slices decoratively on top. That way, when I flipped the pancake, the slices got cooked into the pancake. It was yummy and added even more fiber and vitamins! Anyway, here's the original poster's description: Healthy pancakes to get you going in the morning. They aren't very sweet, so add some sugar or honey if you like your pancakes sweet. I like to eat these topped with plain yogurt and a bit of syrup. Freezes well.

    Recipe #65901

Delicious with a cup of tea or coffee. A co-worker brought this bread to work and I begged her for the recipe.

    Recipe #56611

Honey is the only sweetener used in this bar. Its distinctive flavor works perfectly with the apples.

    Recipe #46240

This is one of my newly adopted recipes. I tossed this together tonight while fixing dinner. Very quick and easy dessert. I used regular apple butter, but no added sugar apple butter could be used as well.

    Recipe #46241

When I tried this adopted recipe, I didn't change a thing, and I thought it made a really nice, moist banana bread. Give it a try if you like banana bread. However, it is very crumbly and does not hold together well. For me, that is not a big issue--I care more about taste than looks, but if you are looking for beautiful bread slices you may wish to keep looking. The original submitter said it came from the Kraft food site.

    Recipe #49711

Adopted! Original poster comments: This chicken recipe has a Greek flavor to it without being overly spicy. It would also work with chicken breasts or other parts. My comments: I am reworking this recipe to be more in line with what I would expect from an oreganata. I will continue to tweak it until I really like everything about it. Still needs some work, IMO.

This is a Recipezaar 2005 adoptee. It's a healthy, light main dish salad, that can easily be made vegetarian by using the vegetable stock. I omit the raisins as I can't stand them in savory dishes, but my daughter adds them to hers, so I left them in the ingredient list.

    Recipe #54593

A healthy yet tasty blueberry muffin with no added fat. From "Everyday Cooking with Dr. Dean Ornish".

    Recipe #54594

One of my favourite comfort desserts, adapted to be lower in calories. Easy to make when you need a chocolate fix.

    Recipe #54597

This is a wonderful vegetarian chili recipe. I especially love the texture added by the bulgur.

    Recipe #54599

This recipe was originally posted by Zenith, who is no longer active at Zaar. She was a wonderful chef, however, so when her recipes went up for adoption I grabbed as many as I could. This is one that had been in my cookbook for months and months, and I still haven't gotten around to trying it. She is greatly missed! Here's what she had to say about this recipe: "A quick and easy vegetarian meal, perfect when served over couscous."

    Recipe #54602

A family favourite that we've always preferred to everyone else's variation. Quick and easy to make, too.

    Recipe #55005

Good for the Thanksgiving holidays! Quick to make if you use canned beets (plus you won't get your hands all purple!).

    Recipe #55095

A good recipe for using leftover ham.

Warm and comforting, yet low in fat.

    Recipe #55104

Yummy low-fat bran muffins. Using blueberries makes them a bit different, but raisins are good too.

    Recipe #55105

A yummy, healthy muffin with no added fat.

    Recipe #55110

A low-fat bran muffin recipe from a book called "Eating Light and Loving It!".

This is an adopted recipe. I haven't made it yet, but I will soon and will then update it with any necessary changes. >>A healthy, not-too-sweet muffin, so add more honey or some sugar if you prefer your muffins sweeter. You can also substitute 1 cup coarsely grated zucchini for the carrots. (From a cookbook called "Healthy Hometown Favorites".)
