Posted from a website co-op this stew is plainly simple, so feel free to add any other veggies that you may desire. It is great served over mashed potatoes, noodles or rice along side some crusty bread.

By marinading and then grilling the chicken and the veggies, this dish has a wonderful grilled flavor served over pasta, its a filling meal. It is also great served cold. Make sure to not cut the veggies too thin so they dont slip thru the grill grates. I have also done this inside on the foreman type grill.

Interesting new twist on an old favorite. From a food co-op web site.

I saw this on a local news station as an Olympic Dessert special saluting Italy, but wanted to wait until I made it before posting. Very quick and easy and extremely good with or without the Ricotta cream. Makes a colorful presentation!!!

I just found this recipe and thought I’d post it for the Zaar World Tour to Italy. They sound awesome and I can’t wait to get them in the oven. I have no idea where to get candied angelica so that may be a challenge, but I think I will use candied lemon peel pieces

These take a little while to complete but are well worth it! DD#1 (the pastry chef) brought this recipe home from a cookie class, BTW she loves Tiramisu.

These cookies are deep fried knots, traditionally flavored with vin santo, a sherry like Italian wine, served hot, dusted with powdered sugar, especially at Italian carnival time. From The Ultimate Cookie Book and posted for Zaar World Tour to Italy. Prep time includes chilling time.

A different type of supper that the kids can "pick up and go with"! I like mine dipped in catsup or served with pizza sauce on the side and topped with a slice of mozzarella.

Pizzelle iron is needed to make these cookies, but they are so good that I would recommend buying one! From my friend Dianne's aunt, these are heavenly. Prep time does not include overnite chilling, and cook time is a guesstimate as everyones iron cooks differently. You may have to experiment with a few cookies before you get the hang of it.

Growing up in a community known as "Little Italy," this was always a staple at any party, especially when the men got together to play cards! For sure this is an artery blocker, a heart attack waiting to hit, BUT if you like garlic and anchovies, but all means take the risk!

Yummy, colorful, good for you soup. It thickens as is stands so you may need to add more broth.

A "little" sweet, cake like cookie with frosting. Different with the ricotta cheese but you will like them I'm sure of it!

Everyone loves potato skins and these taste like pizza too! My kids like me to have these in the freezer for a quick snack. They are yummy!

A very different breakfast casserole from the usual baked french toast or egg ones. You will be pleasantly surprised like I was on this one!

Individual Lasagnas...kids love them! Least mine do. Time does not include standing time.

Kid friendly snack. Vary the toppings to suite your tastes. I like mine with a small piece of ham and a pineapple chunk! Cook time is only 30 seconds!

Meatballs and a unique sauce, great served with your favorite pasta, or as meatball subs on a crusty bread, with melted mozzarella and dipped into sauce.

Very interesting type of "roast". Originally came from a cookbook from northern Wisconsin where Al Capone used to hang out. Otherwise I have no idea how the name came about, but its a great meal, even for a gangster!
