Beef with Broccoli is a famous stir fry Chinese dish. Almost all restaurants serve this. I got this recipe from my Mom. Everyone in our family just loves her cooking and it tastes just like the one we buy from the Chinese restaurants. This is actually very quick to make after the marinating time.
Siu mai or Siomai are steamed dumplings but with an open top. They're just so delicious that every time I go to Chinese restaurants or take out, expect me to order this as an appetizer. My Mom/sis used to prepare this as well and is good served with a dip of soy sauce mixed with any of these: calamansi/lemon/lime/kumquat. Now that I have to make it, there are times I opt out on the water chestnuts since I don't have them but it hardly changes a thing. :D Serving size really depends.
Sauce recipe: 1/4 cup soy sauce and 1 tsp lemon or lime or calamansi or kumquat.
A famous Japanese pork dish that my mom/sis often makes. Had to ask how this was done since I just miss this so much! Asking details from sis was a bit difficult since she just eyes it. I usually substitute it with chicken too and I still love it although she raised her eyebrow when I told her that :D Well, I love to give myself options! :)
Popular in Israel and you can use any meat, beef, or lamb. Usually prepared without any veggies on the skewers and best served with salads and pita. Preparation time assumes that the meat has been cubed. Yield depends on how small the meat is cubed

These are famous sweet Filipino snacks sold in sidewalks. Very simple to make and a traditional comfort food for many households. Basics would just be the bananas, sugar and wrapper but adding the jack fruit makes all the difference and is preferred by most.
Note: There are different types of spring roll wrappers. Get the non-translucent ones, if ever.
