I bought a huge bag of baby Spinach at the store and have been looking for ways to use it up. Found something similar to this in my "Weight Watchers Miracle Foods: More Fruits, More Veggies" cookbook. This has been tweaked to my own tastes. The original calls for more beets and less orange. As the original was written it would be 1 point for 1 cup. This might be just a tad more and would be a CORE recipe for WW. Even if you're not on WW though, it is a healthy tasty recipe!

A great lowfat stuffed shell recipe, tastes just like the traditional recipe.

I recieve emails from Prevention Online. These come weekly and have lots of interesting articles. This was "Posted: Apr 25, 2004". I wanted a safe place to keep it and to share it with the people of Recipezaar. This is posted in the Health Discussions: Conquering Cholesterol. Here is a link for Prevention for cholesterol: http://www.prevention.com/cda/channel2002/0,2469,s1-683,00.html . I like to find tonics and cures that are affordable and use natural ingredients. Sometimes we need prescriptions, but a little prevention may just go a long way. I see a pattern of age and weight as contrubuting factors, besides genes and this is a natural occurance for so many of us. Even if we are within a healthy weight range, we may not be the weight we were when we were teenagers and 20 somethings. I'm thinking this contributes individually and am interested in finding out. I hope this helps somebody!

Adapted from The Seasonal Detox Diet, by Carrie L’Esperance. There has been a lot in the news lately about the amazing healing properties of turmeric, a free-radical-fighting antioxidant-rich spice that has been hailed as a defense against both cancer and Alzheimer’s.

Chickpeas are high in protein, phosphorus, sulfur, and potassium. Serve with cubes of broiled smoked tofu or goat's cheese for a complete meal. From Detox - the process of cleansing and restoration.

    Recipe #276820

This is a great, simple drink to detox impurities from your body. It cleanses your body from the inside out. Extremely easy to drink too. Have one first thing in the morning, and one before bed. You will see the difference within a week. Try keeping this up for 1 week every month. If you can drink this everyday, it would be WONDERFUL.

I created this high protein salad to munch on for snacks, esp keeps me full before bed. As a figure competitor, I am required to eat clean and detox frequently, and this salad helps keep me feeling satisfied while eating reduced calories. I make a big batch and store it in the fridge to scoop out easily for lunches on the run.

    Recipe #380989

One of the first signs of liver disfunction is emotional difficulty related to anger: impatience, frustration, resentment, violence, belligerence, rudeness, edginess, arrogrance, stubbornness, aggression and an impulsive and explosive personality. Depression, mood swings as well as excessively emotional in general are liver-related. Tiredness, dark circles under eyes, poor digestion and dull skin are also symptoms of poor liver function. Try this detox recipe!

This mousse is really easy, really fast, and REALLY GOOD! It's a recipe I got from another Weight Watchers member, but I do not hesitate to share it with non-dieters, who also find it very yummy! If you don't want to go totally diet, feel free to substitute regular or lite whipped topping, non-skim milk, etc.

Another fantastic recipe from my Weight Watcher leader. Don't you just love you can loose weight without giving up everything you like? o points per serving

    Recipe #158648

This is a great soup recipe I found on WeightWatchers.com. It's very simple to make and has only 3 POINTS per serving!

The restaurant version of this dish is loaded with fat, thanks to deep frying. WW has coated the chicken with flour and then pan-seared it to lighten it up. 4 points per serving.

    Recipe #162397

From Real Simple June 2004 - 6 Weight Watchers points (as one of 4 servings, not 10, as the recipe makes.)

East meets West with this Chinese take on a Mexican classic. From Weightwatchers.com

    Recipe #164961

Yummy low points dessert. Very simple. 1 cup is 3 pts. I usually drain fruit juices into pudding mix first and then blend fruit in, it is just easier for me. You may also want to try this with SF FF Banana Cream Pudding.

Perfectly simple! From a recent WW meeting; 4 points per serving.

    Recipe #162386

I love chicken fried steak, but my diet didn't actually cater to it. I found this recipe on weight watchers - it's a pretty good replacement. If doing WW, its 4 points per serving.
