    I was surprised not to see this one on Zaar! Tyler Florence said, "Once you try this, you'll never have corn on the cob any other way." We agree wholeheartedly! The corn steams and cooks in it's own husk without any pre-soaking or anything. The corn's flavor is intensified right in the husk! After removal from the oven, just pull back the husk and use it for a handle. The silk comes off with the husk! Let me know if you like corn this way as much as we do!

    I played around with my family's No Bake Cookie recipe and produced a single portion of this cookie that I feel is healthy enough to eat as a meal. They’re still very good but are much healthier. I keep getting asked for the recipe, so I finally decided to measure out the exact portions and post the recipe. THIS RECIPE IS VERY FLEXIBLE! When I make them I NEVER measure out anything and I often add more or less of ingredients and they still taste great. I sometimes leave out the wheat germ and flax seeds and just add more oatmeal. I have made these replacing the sugar with about 3 tablespoons of honey. I have changed the recipe from 1 tsp. to 1 Tbsp. of cocoa powder.

    Since I don't like salad dressing, I created this simple salad. Not only is it yummy but it is better for you since the only dressing it does have is the one it creates. After we finish eating the veggies, I like to strain the seeds out of the juice and use it as a salad dressing substitute on a green salad.     I love bananas and oatmeal, so when I saw this in the September 2004 issue of Cooking Light, I just knew I had to make it! I wasn't at all disappointed. The oatmeal makes it hearty and somewhat chewy, while the bananas and buttermilk make it sweet and moist - yet it is not as sweet or sticky-moist as some other banana breads I've had. This makes a smaller loaf than some recipes. I made 2 mini-loaves instead of one large one, and they were done in 30-35 minutes. EDITED to mention- Since I posted this recipe, I've made it several times. It has become THE banana bread recipe for this household, and when I give it as gifts it never fails to receive compliments. It is extremely versatile also. I have made it with yogurt in place of buttermilk, walnut oil for the vegetable oil, and I have cut back the sugar and added cinnamon as a couple reviewers suggested. This last time I made an eggless version by substituting 2 Tablespoons ground flax seed + 6 Tablespoons water for the eggs. (I think next time I will try a vegan version by also replacing the buttermilk with soymilk.) Every time it has turned out perfect!
