    This is a good appetizer to serve when you are watching calories. Leave out the jalapeno & garlic, if you wish they are good even without them. Try using a Portabello and if you can find them Black Garlic. - Wonderful flavor. Black Garlic are from Korea and are fermented in a special process - Very mellow flavor

    These don't even have one gram of fat if prepared with the listed ingredients! If you prefer a sweeter taste add in some Spenda sweetener. In place of the freezer pop plastic molds use 18 (3-ounce) disposable clear plastic drink cups with 18 wooden sticks.     I love onion rings, but I hate deep frying anything. These don't taste the same as the deep fried variety, but they are crispy & flavorful and a nice alternative. Adapted from Taste of Home. Servings will vary greatly depending upon your onions - approx 4 rings per serving. Please use very large onions and they should be sweet onions (such as Vidalia, Maui, or Walla Walla). Regular onions just won't taste the same.
