A co-worker brought a version of this to a work party and it was good, but oily and very fattening. I have made the recipe over so that it can be enjoyed as often as the deep fried wing craving hits. Serve with celery sticks and crackers.
This is from an old booklet put out by the Walla Walla Gardeners Association. Walla Walla is in SW Washington state, where the sweetest onions outside of Vidalia, GA are grown! (how's that for diplomacy!)
i made this today from soaked and cooked chickpeas to have on my baked potatoes, you can experiment by adding different spices and flavours liek roasted peppers, sundried tomatos, olives or sultanas and cinamon, the basic recipe is free on a green day or extra easy
If you like crispy, battered zucchini, this is the lowfat alternative for you!! I could not believe it, but they came out crispy!! The egg whites are the secret. The recipe below is straight off the WW website. The flour definitely needs MORE seasoning though - garlic? Cayenne? Salt after they're out of the oven? I will be perfecting this for our family's tastes, but these zukes are going into our regular rotation!! Like I said, if you are looking for a lowfat batter alternative that's is NOT like the "corn flake baked" variety....this is for you!
Except for the small amount of oil these muffins are low-fat, but you would never know it, they bake out high with tons of flavor and are extremely moist, you may throw in some chopped nuts also --- for greasing see my recipe#78579 --- for more low fat muffin recipes visit www.kittencalskitchen.com
A refreshing fruit salad that is especially good at breakfast. If you prep it the evening before, don't add the mint until morning or it just kind of bitter. Yes, I learned that the hard way. ;) 1 WW point per serving.
I came up with this "pie" recipe when I was craving some chocolate while on the Weight Watchers Core plan and plain old pudding wouldn't quite do it. Since this pudding is the only chocolate thing on the entire core list, I decided to work with it. Not everything included is core, but in the amounts listed below (1 serving worth), they are 0 points (I calculated each separately). If you eat more than 1 serving, I guess it wouldn't be free. You could always use different flavors of pudding of course - cheesecake would be good, or what about banana cream with banan slices? So many options!
