This recipe is from Threadgill's restaurant in Austin, Texas. It's the most delicious way to serve spinach! I've found it freezes very well after baking - I spoon 4 servings into quart-size freezer bags. Then when I want to serve, I let it defrost in the fridge for a day, spoon it into a microwave dish and reheat. It's just as good as the first time around.

This is quite similar to the creamed spinach at Boston Market, well so I'm told anyway! --- this is a great side dish, even people that hate spinach love this, it's great to serve along side a holiday turkey or a ham dinner, or at any meal --- I also like to saute about 2 teaspoons fresh minced garlic and a pinch of cayenne pepper in the butter for about 2 minutes before adding in the flour but that is optional, add in some grated Parmesan cheese too if desired, this complete recipe can be doubled :)

I tossed this together the other night and it was wonderful! I was more than pleased with the results. Very easy, simple, and tasty. :) A surprisingly tasty combination of ingredients!

Samosas that are a little different. These savory morsels are perfect for pre-dinner appetizers or as a side dish with an Indian buffet. Serve them with your favorite mint chutney - there are several recipes already on Zaar. If you wish, the samosa filling may be made one day ahead, then chilled and kept covered in the refrigerator. From Gourmet Magazine.

A really tasty snack dish from the American Diabetes Association. I used flax seed instead of the wheat germ, but that's the way the recipe was written.

    Recipe #120592

Good side dish for steaks, but goes well with almost anything.

Pepper, tomato and spinach flavored with peanuts! This is an African dish!

This is my favorite way to eat greens. You don't cook them for too long, so they retain most of their nutrients, too.

This recipe is Greek in origin and was originally posted for Zaar World Tour 2005. And inspired by Summerwine's fabulous photograph, I've finally got round to making it! I must admit that when posting I didn't realise just how much spinach this recipe uses; we're talking serious Popeye territory. I found I hadn't bought enough spinach and had to supplement fresh with frozen. But it worked fine. Summerwine's comment below about salt is absolutely spot on. I made this without salt and have updated the recipe to delete this ingredient. The recipe was 'borrowed' from Recipes4us.co.uk.

The original recipe came from the Africhef recipe website, however I make it just a little bit different. This can be served as a side dish, or over rice as a main dish!

Pide is a wonderful Turkish bread. These filled pides are sold at our local bread store and are so yummy!! Use your favourite pizza dough for this recipe.

A great meal for any time of the day. My daughter and I usually eat it for dinner and then have the leftovers for breakfast the next day.
