Use one free morning to make lots of fried onion, and freeze it in convenient amounts! During the holiday season you'll be so glad you did! So many recipes begin with: "Fry a chopped onion ..." How about taking out a bag of frozen, ready-to-use sauteed onions? It can be defrosted in the microwave, or simply added, frozen, to the dish in the pot, so skipping that "fry an onion" bit and saving quite a lot of time ... Because this is not a recipe as such, use as many or as few lbs or kgs of onions as you like, but the more you manage to chop and saute the better, as they do tend to melt away a lot in the frying process. Use a large soup pot. You'll be so glad you prepared this! Because I don't know how many pounds of onions you're going to process, I also have no idea how long it will take you, or how large or small the yield will be, but I have to put in numbers for the Zaar robot ...

    Recipe #260243

Didn't want to mess with oil, etc. late on a Saturday evening, but wanted to use up those Vidalias so I found this on a very interesting website: www.cookingforengineers.com. It made great onion rings!

    Recipe #230474

These baked onion rings are incredible! There is no way that you feel like you are eating healthy and low fat when you eat these. This is a slight adaptation of a Yahoo Health recipe. I dip mine in ketchup but my husband is a purist who prefers his plain. And while the prep time can be a little long, make it a social time. I talk to everyone in the house while I make these, and then sit back and enjoy how great they smell as they cook!

    Recipe #82297

I am the kitchen manager at a lg sports bar and grill. My regulars LOVE these. All amounts are approximate on this recipe (as with all of my recipes since I created most out of my head). For the batter, wisk in small amounts of flour until batter is the correct consistancy. This batter is great for all other veggies and fish as well.

    Recipe #175893

A creamy, nutty flavored rice recipe. Goes well with most meats. I love this recipe.

    Recipe #175910

Onions are one thing I liked anyway you can fix them and this is an excellent side dish.

A nice side dish for roast beef or ham. Use Walla Walla Sweets or Vidalia's for this. Regular yellow onions aren't sweet enough.
