I like this recipe, because its so simple and easy.

    Recipe #11168

I was surprised not to see this one on Zaar! Tyler Florence said, "Once you try this, you'll never have corn on the cob any other way." We agree wholeheartedly! The corn steams and cooks in it's own husk without any pre-soaking or anything. The corn's flavor is intensified right in the husk! After removal from the oven, just pull back the husk and use it for a handle. The silk comes off with the husk! Let me know if you like corn this way as much as we do!

This is a yummy side dish. I could not figure out how to make it say one head of broccoli and one head of cauliflower, but that's what you need.

An easy to throw together recipe that I made to accompany several meals over the Festive period this year. The trick for these roasted roots is to cook them en papillote (in a paper parcel) for the first 30 minutes - almost oven steaming them, before opening up the paper and allowing them to brown and go crunchy and crispy around the edges! Sprinkle them with sea salt, cayenne pepper and freshly ground black pepper before serving them in the paper on a flat plate. You can also make smaller individual parcels for full dining impact!! Use whatever root vegetables you have to hand. The vegetables listed in this recipe are the ones that I used for the last few times of cooking this dish, but I can see possibilities of many more veggies, especially when they are in season. You can reduce the fat content in this recipe by adding just a teaspoon of olive oil and putting the vegetables in a zip-lock bag with the oil, then give it all a good shake, I went FULL fat throughout Christmas and the New Year period! However, I think now the diet is back on the agenda, I will roast these the low fat way!

I find it totally amazing, that children and men ALL LOVE THIS RECIPE! As for the Female of our species we just love this for the flavor and the health benefits it brings our families. Roasted brings out a wonderful sweetness in this dish. The Garlic is roasted to a tan color is creamy good. You can just pop them in your mouth. Or you can spread them on your florets or fresh bread. Just be sure to scoop up some of the rosemary, olive oil and black pepper that may have escaped to the bottom of the dish. For Halloween check out Recipe #396674 version of my recipe.

This recipe can be substituted in ANY pasta sauce or recipe, and it can be eaten hot or cold. Very versatile main or side dish - and very hard to screw up.

Heather gave me this recipe. She said she never liked "those things!" until her mother had a dinner party and fixed them like this. I like them no matter how they are fixed, but must admit, these are one of my favorite ways of having brussels sprouts.

    Recipe #199394

I use my mom's homemade canned spaghetti sauce. Yummy!!

Haven't tried yet, sounds heavenly though! The herb ingredients are not exact. Just use how ever much you like. I LOVE basil, so I'm sure I'll be using a lot of it : ) NOTE: Recipe was given to me by a friend. I had no idea where she got it, nor any idea who Pioneer Woman is. However, as pointed out, it seems credit should go to her. So, thanks Pioneer Woman whoever you are! : ) I had a chance to make them the other night, and they are just as good as I thought they would be! I have also had a chance to google Pioneer Woman and check out her site. I have now posted many of her recipes - they are excellent!

This is a delicious butternut squash recipe from Ina Garten / The Barefoot Contessa. We really enjoy this during the holidays. It is best when the squash is cut in medium to large chunks so that the outside gets a maple-flavored crust, and the inside stays soft and delicious.

From Cooking Light Board. Would use less olive oil...

    Recipe #267244

After oven roasting asparagus, green beans, cauliflower I thought WHY NOT BROCCOLI. The result is crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and a great new way for me to enjoy one of my favorite veggies. Hope you like it too. The garlic is smashed and diced to get as much garlic flavor as you can from each clove.

Roasting carrots brings out their natural sweetness but tossing them with apricot jam after roasting makes them extra special and delicious

I enjoyed this comforting dish with a baked chicken breast and a salad but it would also be good with some nice bread.

This tangy-sweet cauliflower recipe is adapted from one I found on chow.com. Prep time does not include marinating time (20 min.).

    Recipe #287482

From Getting Thin and Loving Food by Kathleen Daelemans. So good you won't know it's good for you. Great with fish, chicken, or steak.
