Currant jelly makes this yummy! Good Housekeeping

    Recipe #92627

Since I started Somersizing I've been eating some of the best food around. I found this recipe at and it's been one of my most recent favorites. The recipe originally should be for 4 servings, but I can eat this as a whole meal!

    Recipe #64708

The Indian dish, Tabbakh Ruhu, translates to "spirit of the cook". During the summer months, when zucchini is so plentiful, we're always looking for new ways to make it. Try this!

    Recipe #482037

I was served this dish at a friend's house and just HAD to find the cookbook. This is from the "Live Longer Cookbook" by Readers' Digest. I find this makes quite a bit of cauliflower but it is very tasty. We think this dish is even tastier if prepared ahead or served the next day. The cookbook suggests serving with roast chicken and couscous or rice.

I love broccoli! I was intrigued by this recipe when I saw it on ATK. The sugar really helps to caramelize the broccoli and give it a "nutty" flavor. Yummy!

This crunchy side s a very healthy. Making a large amount. With the leftovers you can cook up some pasta add some broth and or olive oil and toss the leftovers in. Kick it up with pepper flakes. And you have a main meal for the next day. This is from the Around the World cookbook by the AHA.

From Food 911, these are so good! I used to live in Watsonville, California, the artichoke capital!

Compliments of Thai Kitchen! Adjust your curry if you don't like heat use less then 1 tablespoon and if you enjoy the heat go for 3-4 tablespoons.

    Recipe #63209

I made this recipe today with orange beets. It's very good with the rosemary. You can substitute thyme for the rosemary. Proceed as directed.

A very nice side to a Sunday roast.

This is one of my favorite dishes at a local restaurant called Cracker's. This is THE best asparagus I have ever tasted!

    Recipe #20873

I love asparagus, and if you do, then you'll love this recipe. Nothing fancy, and it's ready in minutes. Great as a side dish; I love to make a meal out of it, by adding thin slices of chicken or beef, even shrimp. I like to put grated Parmesan cheese on top.

    Recipe #248550

Spicy, sweet and delicious! A nutritious side dish that's a great source of fiber. The servings are quite large.

    Recipe #384843

    Recipe #293584

From Vegetarian Journal: "a tasty side dish with a thick, stew-like consistency, this flavorful vegetable medley features the famous three sister -- squash, corn, and beans. Many home cooks prepare this cherished stew, and each has a different take on the balance of seasonings that make it taste just right." I listed the recipe as it was printed, but I did make a few minor changes. I nixed the olive oil in favor of a combination of cooking spray and water; I used sweet paprika, since the recipe didn't specify; and I used frozen corn (no need to bother defrosting it). Kabocha can be difficult to find sometimes, but try not to substitute with another winter squash if you can help it -- there really is no comparison for kabocha's wonderful texture and flavor.

    Recipe #462222

Oven-roasting the cauliflower brings out a fantastic nutty flavor that you just can’t get with other cooking methods. Serve this side dish with Chicken a la Diable or use it as the base for Roasted Cauliflower Soup.

    Recipe #277886

This is just yummmm, fast & serves as a nice foil for a more unctuous meal (think pork ragu) or as part of a lighter meal allround.
