This is my version of one of the best things my mom ever made--Johnny Marzetti! A little lasagna, a little spaghetti, a little personalization and voila! A yummy meatless dish for supper.

From Betty Crocker's New Eat and Lose Weight Cookbook.

Miss good goulash and don't want the meat? Try this recipe adapted from Allrecipes! I have tweeked it and added a few things. I hope you enjoy!

    Recipe #279773

    A delicious, healthy pasta.

    Recipe #8933

from Simply Vegan by Debra Wasserman. I suggest that you use a food processor if you have one. If you don't, you can try to blend the ingredients in small batches in your blender. Otherwise, it is really hard to get the oats to stay together. I always use a food processor for this, although the original recipe doesn't call for it or even suggest it.

    Recipe #33301

A simple dish I threw together when looking through the fridge for something to eat. To pare down to the cooking time I list, drop the farfalle in the water at the same time you put the garlic in the pan. You can also toss in a little sausage or ham(although that makes it non-vegetarian, of course)

    Recipe #44363

My adaptation of one in Vegetarian Planet by Didi Emmons. I like the colour and hearty flavour of this. It's a really satisfying substitute for meat in a burger. You may use canned beans which cuts down on production time.

This our friend Gary's recipe. I haven't made them but I have eaten them. Spicy is right but very tasty too. Points 5.

    Recipe #124547

Another recipe featuring my favorite beans and my favorite pasta/breadcrumb combination. Low fat but not for low carbers, or just eat less of it:D Oil-cured olives are strong tasting but very good in small doses, so slice into small pieces. Published in the NY Times a while ago, adapted from Barbuto Restaurant, an Italian eatery in the meatpacking district of Manhattan. Chef is Jonathan Waxman. I left off the 12 ounces of imported canned solid tuna (drained) but if you eat fish you can include it. I would serve with lots of veggies on the side and red wine of course! Parmesan is optional as the bread crumbs are a poor man's parmesan.

This is a variation on a recipe that Alan Alda showed on Martha Stewart Living. It tastes wonderful! And it leaves no mess! Very simple to make. You can use any medium size pasta (penne, elbow, shells etc...) that you have on hand. I have even made it with a mixture of 3 kinds of left over pasta.

    Recipe #187246

Great veggie burger recipe with a chili and cumin kick in it. We make these all the time to get a vegetarian protein fix. Adapted from a great Moosewood Restaurant Recipe. These are really filling, so we've found that slightly thinner, smaller patties are usually better, and you can fit toppings on that way. We will also sometimes add a tbsp of crushed red pepper flakes in with the cumin and chili pepper to really spice it up!

A vegetarian-ized version of a Real Simple recipe. I also substituted cottage cheese for ricotta because my husband doesn't like the texture of ricotta.

    Recipe #284870

The flax adds some bulk and binding power and also great nutritional value! Garnish with your favorite condiments, cheese, lettuce, etc. Adapted from Delicious Living magazine(Feb. 05) I haven't tried this yet, so placing it here for safekeeping.

    Recipe #157406

I enjoy this scrumptious loaf time and again, including for Christmas dinner. Be sure to serve with Roasted Garlic Gravy (#203656) and a baked acorn squash, along with salad or sweet peas, for a real feast.

A Pillsbury up beans and assorted veggies for a tasty non-meat burger.

This is a really quick and easy dish with heaps of flavour. I love to cook this when I want something fresh and yummy to eat but don't have a lot of time. Enjoy!

    Recipe #47346

I came up with this one night to satisfy both my husband's wish for an olive oil-based pasta dish, and my craving for artichokes. We really enjoyed this hot and also the next day for lunch as a cold pasta salad. Cooking times are approximate since I didn't keep track, but it is a fairly good guess. Everything should only be cooked until heated through and the sauce is thickened.

I make this ahead of time and throw it in the freezer but it is easy and fast to throw together for any day of the week. Good for hiding the veggies for the child who won't eat veggies like mine! You can add any vegetable. I have chosen the ones that I sneak in. Serve over any pasta.

    Recipe #103771

I had this written on a scrap of paper and really don't remember where it came from. It's a great way to "dress" up the plain boca burgers.

    Recipe #152064

The recipe comes from Light and Easy Diabetes Cuisine. Food exchange: 2 starch/bread exchange + 1 fat exchange.
