As far as I know there isn't a dairy free Nutella on the market, so I've decided to create one of my own. The original idea for this came from I've added a few extra ingredients to make it my own.

Recipe #243059

It blew my mind how much this tasted like regular sour cream! Yes, it's vegan, pareve, non-dairy and raw... But it's creamy as can be, and you can use it in any recipe that calls for sour cream. My lactose intolerant friend who hadn't eaten sour cream in years was in heaven when I served this to her. It refrigerates well. Try it on black bean soup, burritos, nachos, or tamales. You can also use it to cool down spicy recipes, or put a dab of it on borscht (beet soup).

A great party starter is this appetizer very flexible you can use navy beans or Great Northerns. Optional ingredients may include sun dried tomatoes, toasted nuts, black or green olive. This would be great for a sandwich spread!

Recipe #140369

I make this all the time for parties, bike trips, whatever. Everyone loves it because it has a nice kick to it.

Recipe #124740

This is an absolutely phenomenal recipe for those who observe the laws of Kosher eating or for those who want a vegan/non-dairy cheese wizz alternative. While I would not recommend storing this for more than a couple days, it can be reconstituted by adding a bit of water and re-warming it up.

Delicious vegan version of cream cheese. So good on celery sticks or crackers! And you can adjust the seasonings to your taste. I like to add a couple cloves of fresh garlic and some dried herbs. From The Uncheese Cookbook by Joanne Stepaniak.

This is a one really easy and incredibly tasty chutney. This is my mom's recipe and no one makes it better, honest :) Store the chutney in the refrigerator (for not longer than a day; after that it usually goes bad), unless using it immediately, since the coconut makes it very perishable.

Recipe #15042

From the book "Real Vegetarian Thai." It's one of my new favorites--I put a tablespoon of it in just about everything I stir-fry. If you're not a spicy fan, you can turn down the heat by adding less of the chili sauce.

Recipe #122673

The BEST garlic sauce on the planet can be found at Zankou's Chicken. Those who know this place know their recipe is a very closely-guarded secret. Serve with a Lebanese (or other Mediterranean) chicken (or beef) dish like Recipe #127262. Also great with chicken or beef shawarma. I lined pita shells with this sauce and loaded them up with chicken, lettuce, tomato and roasted peppers and onions. Just make sure you aren't coming face to face with anyone for the next month or so... WHEW! Garlic!

Recipe #199352

No Eggs. No butter. I have yet to try this if I can find a sub for the Olive oil. From Great Sauces and Dressings from The Carb-Conscious Vegetarian by Robin Robertson

Recipe #150868

Here I've taken a recipe for roasted chickpeas, cooled the mixture, added tahini, etc. and finally pureed the mixture. Very important to reserve all the cooking liquid. I think I got the roasted chickpea recipe from the Sugar Solution book...??

Recipe #167775

I usually make hummus quickly, in my food processor. One day I felt like fussing a little and tried this recipe that I found in a 2005 Sunset Magazine. We really like the added flavor of the roasted garlic.

Recipe #173023

A spicy twist on traditional hummus. This recipe is especially creamy and is garlicky without being overwhelming. Use as a dip, a spread, or eat it by the spoonful like I do! Gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free and kosher (pareve).

Recipe #189116

I got this great recipe from this site: I haven't tried it yet, but plan to soon.

This is a delicious dressing, especially for those who can't tolerate dairy! If you can eat dairy, feel free to substitute sour cream or buttermilk for the soy milk mixture. Or use low-fat or fat-free mayo and this can be very healthy! Prep time includes time to chill.

This is a wonderful alternitive to real mayonnaise. I have been put on a strict diet and this saves the day! Makes a great salad dressing(I add a little honey), spread for sandwiches, or dip. Adapted from Raw and Living Foods. This is popular in Spain, Mexico, Central America and the Southern USA.
