This cleaner is great. I use it for everything. Laundry (1/2 cup per load) Dishes (a squirt in the sink) Dishwashers (in the prewash only)Bathroom. It is a combination of many recipies for laundry soap I have discovered on the web, but it will clean everything! One batch will last a long time and will cost way less than $1. I just discovered a new use for this awesome stuff... It cleans grout! Just pour some on your floor (My kitchen grout was nasty!) and scrub the grout lightly. Rinse it and enjoy clean grout with no nasty chemicals!!!

    Recipe #82941

This stuff is amazing. I wish I could remember who originally gave me the recipe. I used it often when training a new puppy right after puchasing new carpet. It even worked on non-pet related stains. And I used Dawn instead of Joy.

This is great for injuries and keeping beverages cool.

A "recipe" to make your own fly paper instead of buying it from the store.

    Recipe #369092

I couldn't believe how dirty my watch and silver jewelry were when I tried this. Yuck! This saves money and is safe for you and the environment. The solution can be very drying to your hands so consider using rubber gloves or even tweezers to handle the jewelry. This recipe is from wire-sculpture.com.

I work in an office with 5 doctors and as you know, doctors are always washing their hands which makes them dry. We make this lotion for them and they LOVE IT!! **UPDATE 3/31/09: I use 4 oz. of Vaseline petroleum jelly, it would not let me enter it on the ingredients part and for the Vitamin E, you can use lotion or cream, whatever you like or can find. I also tried the NEW cucumber melon baby lotion....AWESOME!!, husband and son liked it but I still like the regular pink the best. I ONLY use J&J baby lotion because it seems to work the best. Thanks to everyone who has given me reviews....

A wonderful dirt cheap alternative to buying a $5 bottle of Febreze. This version is about 5 cents to make and the scent is much nicer too. I use it all the time.

    Recipe #71485

This is a miracle recipe for getting rid of those pesty ants that come every spring and summer. Mix up the solution, pack cotton balls in a jar cover, and put the solution on and they will be gone.

This is great for sinks, showers and even hands. My husband fixed our roof and his hands were full of tar. He used this and the tar "melted off!" He said it was better than the hand cleaner mechanics use to get the oil off their hands! It shines my stainless steel sink, it doesn't scratch my stovetop and it is awesome on the tub. Best of all it is easy and cheap! I found it on a make your own cleaner website and it works!

    Recipe #85197

This is a recipe I came up with since I enjoy white russians soo much, and also I like Kahlua in my coffee too. Let me know what you think if it is too strong, weak or is missing something..THANKS!!

    Recipe #18458

This is a home remedy for that horrible cough that you just can't get rid of, and best of all: you probably already have all of the ingredients!

    Recipe #56268

A former hairsylist turned me on to this secret for a cleansing shampoo for color-treated hair. Commercial cleansing shampoos are made to throughly cleanse your hair (ie remove all product build-up), but they also strip color. This homemade version helps to prevent stripping of color, but also throughly cleanses your hair. It is also much cheaper and can be made with products already in your home. I love it and use it once per week!

    Recipe #85686

From the Thursday magazine; this was submitted by Jyoti S. Mehta.

    Recipe #59326

We have cats and dogs and once a month I ”treat” the house using this. I use mostly lavender and rosemary oil but also like lemongrass or peppermint. They say that using lavender and rosemary it not just refreshes but it keeps away fleas and moths. I think that makes sense because I make soap that I use on our dogs and that also uses rosemary as one of the ingredients. If you have friends that like Potpourri as a gift they will also like this.Once you have made this and like it, try to buy the rosemary and lavender in bulk.
