Yes, you can make authentic gyros at home --> the texture and flavor of this meat is as good as you get in a good Greek restaurant, without the traditional rotating spit.. but this is just the recipe and technique for making the meat, for I'm assuming you know the drill on making the classic gyro sandwich - stuff the meat in a grilled pita with sliced tomatoes, onions and tzaziki sauce.. Enjoy!

    Recipe #285900

While on a business trip to Port of Gentille, Gabon west Africa we ate in several restaurants that that served grilled skewers of fish. This is the closest I've come to duplicating them.

Whether you are on the South Beach diet or not, the marinade for the fish is very tasty. These can be eaten on Phase I of the diet. So far I've tried these kabobs using tuna steak and I'll be trying it out on salmon next. This recipe is courtesy of the South Beach Diet book.

    Recipe #93018

Delicious seared tuna with an orange glaze that makes it more delicious. The Recipe comes from The Diabetes Food and Nutrition Bible.

This is so awesome! So easy, yet tastes really good and has a Carribean/tropical flair! This is something I'd serve to people I really wanted to impress...

From the local paper; suggested to go over seared tuna steaks, but versatile enough for many other dishes.

This tuna is seared and still raw insde so be sure to get sushi quality tuna. I myself like it that way!

    Recipe #155595

Barbecue season is right around the corner so it's time to stock up on some great summer grilling recipes! Tuna is one of the richest sources of Omega-3 Fatty Acids, an essential component for a balanced diet - with benefits ranging from cardiac health to long-term memory retention. It's high in protein and low in fat and carbs.

The marinade gives them a lovely flavor. Marinating time not included.

We frequently grill tuna steaks in summertime. I came up with this sweet marinade. It's also good for chicken or pork, but I like it best on fresh tuna steaks.

    Recipe #116246

A delightful tuna dish with a touch of heat from the Wasabi powder and black pepper, but oh, so good.

    Recipe #63930

Excellent, no-fail and incredibly simple. Guests are always floored by this recipe! I adapted it from Bon Appetit. Get all of your ingredients ready before you begin (mise en place), as the cooking goes quickly. Also, be sure to use regular full-fat whipping cream -- the flavor of the cream is key to this and low-fat substitutions won't work well. If you decide to substitute chicken breasts for the tuna, decrease the heat and increase the cooking time to thoroughly cook the chicken. Serve on a bed of baby greens, alongside Wasabi Mashed Potatoes. Perfection!
