Recently came across this on the Internet and want to try it soon as I love sweet/spicy combinations. Note actual nutritionals are not adjusted for discarding the marinade. Total time does not include marinading time. Posting for the 2005 'Zaar World Tour.

I was first attracted to this recipe because I'm a big Beatles fan, and secondly because it's a good vegan recipe. Pretty easy to make, and delicious!

This colorful make-ahead salad is from the June 2010 issue of Better Homes and Gardens. It's an unusual combination flavors, colors and shapes that makes this a pretty and tasty salad.

    Recipe #432896

From Nancy Clark. Cook time is the time for the bars to harden.

Healthy vegan Italian Bread Sticks or Pizza Crust! I've given directions below in how to make this as Italian Bread Sticks, but to turn it into Pizza Crust is quite simple. Simply omit the Italian seasoning, garlic and onion powder from this recipe and roll to fit 2 medium sized pizza pans and TADA you have pizza crust. Freezes well also. From "The Best of Silver Hills Delicious Vegetarian Cuisine" cookbook. Update: Lately I've been making this as a pizza crust without omiting the Italian seasoning, garlic, and onion powder and I think it makes the pizza taste even better.

This is so good and so easy, I can't seem to make enough of it! It's my favorite crisp recipe ever! I got it out of Taste of Home magazine. You will definitely enjoy it!

A Food and Wine staff favorite courtesy of Chris Hanna. It's really not that difficult to make your own pita bread (they may not always have a pocket in the middle) and they have better flavor and texture than store-bought. Give these a whirl! *See note in directions if you would like to make these in advance and store them in your freezer*

Ensalada de Lechuga con Aderezo de Cilantro from "Zarela's VeraCruz" -- a lovely, simple salad with a very fresh taste--a wonderful palate cleanser after a main course.

One-Eyed Jack, notorious gunslinger in his youth, couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, much less a buffalo for chili. So he became a vegetarian in his older days.

    Quick and easy

Try this seasoning instead of using the packets of taco seasoning. Makes a great gift too! This not only saves you money it tastes better too! You control the amounts- feel free to adjust to fit your taste. If you like it hotter you can add some cayenne or up the chili powder! Enjoy!

After loosely trying various recipes, this is the combination that worked for my family. It is spicy enough for dh abut not so blazing that the kids won't eat it. THE PICKY ONE had 5 tacos!! Dh's comment, "you've made this a few times before but this one I LIKE." You can use vegetable broth to keep it vegetarian or use chicken or beef. You can use a can of diced tomatoes (regular or Rotel) instead of taco sauce or salsa but it will take a bit longer to cook because of the added liquid. This made enough for our family of 4 to have 3-4 tacos each with just a little bit left over.

This is a refreshing, tasty & healthy way to begin your day or anytime but it is most healthy consumed on an empty stomach. Watermelon is thought to have originated in southern Africa, where it is found growing wild, resulting in sweet, bland and bitter varieties of which the sweet is to be used here.

NOT to be confused with strawberry and watermelon slushies...From The Sugar Solution. No added sugar! This one screams SUMMER!!!!

    Recipe #167116

Yummy, smooth & creamy. With homemade brazil nut milk. Idea attributed to http://www.rawmazing.com

    Recipe #444132

This is from Vive le Vegan by Dreena Burton. This recipe calls for a lot of soy milk--add as much or as little as you like. I found that 1/2 cup made a thick, creamy sauce. I made this with arugula, and it also turned out tasty but a little bitter. This sauce was delicious served over pasta with cherry tomatoes and parmesan cheese.
