This is a perfect recipe for people who have never used phyllo. Some people make it sound as though if you break a sheet the whole dish is broken. Sheets can be broken and it's still "all good" and elegant.
Yet another of my mom's delicious recipes that I now make myself. These little treats take a bit of work, but are worth the effort. They also freeze nicely. Prep time does not include refrigeration time for dough.
My sister loves these, she makes me make them for her, because she says that she just can't get it right. But, contrary to what she says, they are easy, but she is right about them being good. These traditonall in Spain and Mexico, usually eaten for breakfast or snacks. You could make the sauce with any fruit you like, I hav just always used raspberry, as the original recipe that I had called for.
I was watching Emeril last night and he made this dessert. It looked so easy and yet made such a beautiful presentation. I haven't made yet, as I think this will require a party to go to! Don't need this much chocolate in the house by myself!
I got this recipe from a friend of mine after eating it at a Christmas party. I usually cut back on the chips I stir into the ball and roll the ball in chips instead of nuts. Just personal preference. I also buy regular and chocolate graham crackers and arrange them around the ball for a nice presentation. Enjoy!
