I'm searching for easy and delicious treats to serve at morning coffees especially, since they are so popular in my neighborhood. I did have a few collected from zaar but, of course, I mislaid them. THESE will not be lost!
This is a souped up version of another zaar recipe, that I played around with until I thought it couldn't get any better. When I bring this to social gatherings, people are so estatic in their compliments, that I have to say "Aw, shucks, it's easy." Hence, the name.
This is an awesome dessert...reminds me of cherry-topped cheesecake, but MUCH easier to make:) Every time I take this dessert to a party, I ALWAYS get asked for the recipe (I just take a few copies with me/lol). I also like it with blueberry pie filling, but the fam. likes cherry, so that's usually what I use.
The first time I ever really tried a Victoria sponge was at High Tea when I was in Cape Town, South Africa, looking up at table top mountain, I then had it on the cliffs at Hermanes watching the wales during high tea. So when I got home I had to find the recipe, and I did
This recipe came from Foodland Ontario 2006 and is delicious........don't have to grill it or put it in a loaf....just serve with vegetables, bread and crackers.....would be graeat for a shower for ladies.......
These are easy to make! I have made these without the lemon jam, and they are still delicious! In order to spread the jam more easily over the cream cheese mixture just heat slighty in the microwave to soften.
This is straight for Kraft:Family & Foods magazine. It is very similar to another recipe posted here on the zaar, with a few changes. It is yummy and will not last long...at least they don't in this house.
