Gathered from an Indonesian website-kokkieblanda, this is a nice blend of vegetables and flavors.

    Recipe #187213

    Cooking time includes marinating time.

    Recipe #181992

I love this dish, Depending on how I'm feeling i either use egg or sweet chili sauce to coat the tofu prior to covering with the panko. My favourite sauces to serve with it are Recipe #179186 and Recipe #24158. Prep/cooking time does not include draining time!

    Recipe #179585

I love tofu...I like how it picks up the flavor of whatever sauce it's coated with. I especially liked this recipe where the tofu is browned a bit before having the sauce poured on top. This can be served warm or at room temperature. It would be a good addition to a bento box (Japanese boxed lunch). I found this gem in the Chicago Tribune, which attributes it to Ron Bilaro.

This is a great way to eat tofu. This method could also be used for chicken. Tastes great served with a vegetable and rice. This recipe only serves one so adjust ingredients as needed.

I love General Tso's Sauce and have always wanted a vegetarian version, so here it is! Not only is it lighter than the chicken version but it tastes amazing and even meat eaters are sure to love it! Try your local Asian store for the rice wine and vinegar. I love to serve this with brown rice.

This tofu version of a shepherd's pie is certainly not very traditional, but this recipe still makes for a hearty meal. This Shepherd's Pie is a casserole combining a tofu saute, mashed potatoes, and mushroom gravy. If you perform the 3 steps concurrently, you will shorten the preparation time. You should start the freeze-thaw tofu procedure the day before you expect to make the casserole. Prep time does not include thawing time for tofu. I like it even better the second day. From the Moosewood Collective.

    Recipe #134301

Very simple to make, and really flavoursome, ideal winter breakfast or all-purpose soup. Based on a recipe from my asian cookbook, but that was too salty, so I changed it.

    Recipe #104573

This is a dish that is popular in Japan and usually sold as street food. This version is made with pork, although you could easily substitute chicken or tofu.

    Recipe #82262

This was absolutely delicious! It will make a tofu lover out of you yet (I hope!). I let my tofu sit overnight in the marinade, and then baked it, and I thought it turned out great. As I describe below, be sure to really "press" the excess liquid out of your tofu to ensure that it absorbs the marinade. Don't be afraid to put something really heavy on it to draw out the moisture. Cast iron pan works great! Source: Sunday Moosewood cookbook

    Recipe #81284

Crispy deep-fried rice noodles coated with a sweet-and-sour sauce. An easy, tasty Thai dish with interesting textures and flavors. Add pork, chicken, shrimp, or fried tofu, or a combination -- your choice.

    Recipe #78324

Another of Tomoko and my translation from our new cookbooks. We are having to guess the prep and cooking time at the moment.

    Recipe #69705

A tasty snack or appetizer. Tofu cubes are very crispy outside, yet warm and soft inside. Sort of like Asian "french fries". And i simple love the sauce, even used it as salad dressing sometimes!

    Recipe #69191

Szechuan-style stir-fried tofu with ground beef. You can adjust the spicy-ness scale by substituting chilli sauce with ketchup and add more/less chilli flakes.

    Recipe #68961

This is a favorite family recipe we received from a good friend. One batch is never enough! The recipe is so versatile that you can add tofu, mushrooms, or any other vegetables to your liking!

    Recipe #40107

The combination of ingredients in this recipe I have to say is perfect. Really delicious and nutritious. This is a Mollie Katzen recipe.

    Recipe #9267

Mmmm spicy and savoury, great snack food but can be dressed up for a dinner party.

    Recipe #182043

Tofu in the west is often used as a meat substitute for veggies, it was also used for this purpose by Buddhist monks whom first introduced Vegetarian cookery to Japan. This dish is a modern addition to their traditional dishes. I like to serve with rice and make double the quantity of sauce to pour over. I also put my tofu out to drain before I go to work so it is ready to go when i get back

    Recipe #178192

From the International Vegetarian Cookbook. Serve the tofu over steamed brown rice or use as a sandwich filling!

    Recipe #171417

This is a Chinese style recipe, I think specifically Szechuan style. You can vary it a bit -- maybe use chicken instead of tofu, or add some diced celery, bamboo shoots, or blanched broccoli with the other vegetables. Serve with rice.
