Nice, fresh-tasting dish that comes together in a snap. Make it even quicker by preparing the chile lime butter ahead of time. It can be made 1 day ahead, covered and chilled. Just make sure to bring to room temperature before using. I like this served atop jasmine rice. -adapted from Gourmet
This is my own personal copycat recipe mimicking Johnny Carino's sandwich. Their menu description is "Fried fillet of tilapia with a garlic-jalapeño cream sauce, provolone cheese and sliced roma tomatoes." I think that I have accomplished this by using ideas from CoffeeMom's Super Easy Ritz Cracker Breading (recipe #98000) and ketchup's Garlic Cream Sauce (recipe #85676). (Thanks, guys!) We love this sandwich.
A very popular Indian dish that has been adapted by the Cape Muslims and is usually served at religious festivals. Ideal for entertaining large numbers of guests--the dish can be prepared in advance and the flavour actually improves with time.
From Bon Appetit January 1996. The original recipe used salmon, but I prefer tilapia or orange roughy. Peppercorn mix is sold in bulk in well-stocked grocery stores; in this manner you only buy as much as you need for the recipe
and save the expense of bottled spices. I must warn you that this is very peppery!
One fine day, I sat down and wondered to myself how I could create a colorful dish, using fish fillets with refreshing ingredients, spicy yet appetizing. Here it is; hope you like this. I have created exotica.
Very easy, quick and delicious creation of my husband's which works just as well on the grill as in the oven. It's really not dilapidated at all, he just thought it just had that flow-off-the-tongue sound. Plus he's really warped... like his lunatic wife.
Crispy! Serve with tartar sauce. You can cut into small pieces before breading so the kids can eat like nuggets. You can also deep fry! Stays crispy for packing in a lunch or picnic!
A major importance in artisanal fishing in Africa and the Levant, and are of increasing importance in aquaculture around the world.
DD#1 (the chef)brought this recipe home from a co-worker. I thought what a unique way to coat anything! I hate fish but cant wait to try this on chicken tenders. Dont think it could get much easier than this!
