I wrote this recipe myself. I make most of our household cleaners. There is no soap in this. It's great on soap scum. My shower sparkles.

Recipe #349641

There are a few ingredients in this one, but they are well worth the time and effort. This is from Chef Buster Ambrosia's collection of Louisiana recipes. Do not give up on this one until you try it.

safe home made ear cleaner

Recipe #246507

This recipe comes from the website Kitchen Crafts N More in the spa category. I love black cherry scented anything and thought this would be a great bath salt recipe.

Recipe #121284

This is great during long car trips. It releases a relaxing scent and keeps kids from bouncing off the walls. I think I got this out of a Better Homes & Gardens magazine.

This is scented with pepperminy to cool your hot tired feet and scented with Balsam Fir needle oil for that Holiday touch! Great for after a day of Holiday Shopping! Use 100 percent essential oils.

Recipe #148975

I like to experiment with bath products. This is very much like the body polish you can get at that expensive bath spa. You may want to remove any "fine" jewelry just to be safe. Also if you use it in the bath tub, it may leave your bathtub a little slippery.

Recipe #106380

Baking Soda is an odor remover and is slightly abrasive so it works well as a scrub (though not as good as fine sand). Lavender and Lemon stated in the recipe are Lavender essential oil and Lemon essential oil. You may substitute Sweet or Bitter Orange Essential oil for the Lemon Essential oil.

An economical laminate floor cleaner spray that you can make for pennies... and it gets your floors just as clean as that expensive cleaner they sell in stores... if not cleaner! This formula has been keeping my floors so clean and does not give me a headache like so many other commercial cleaners, so I have decided to share this gem that was shared with me from a Pergo expert. This is the first "recipe" I've posted with the hope that many of you will be able to put it to good use!!!

Recipe #255994

I found this recipe on, and posted it for chari, requesting "unedible" recipes using cocoa powder! cook time is estimated, as recipe did not say.

This is great for sinks, showers and even hands. My husband fixed our roof and his hands were full of tar. He used this and the tar "melted off!" He said it was better than the hand cleaner mechanics use to get the oil off their hands! It shines my stainless steel sink, it doesn't scratch my stovetop and it is awesome on the tub. Best of all it is easy and cheap! I found it on a make your own cleaner website and it works!

This wonderful soap is delicately scented, and is beautiful to look at. Use a variety of different molds to make it really special. You can give this as gifts -- or use it yourself everyday! You don't have to know how to make soap from scratch to make this soap, and you don't have to use scary ingredients like lye! (Which many people are uncomfortable with.) Enjoy!

One of the soap stars was telling how she uses this as one of her secret facial routines...

Recipe #129945

Don't throw away your foam soap dispenser or spend extra on the refills when you run out. It's easy to make your own! This also works with shampoo.

Recipe #103893

Easy, inexpensive scrub to enjoy at home. From Pioneer Thinking.

Recipe #162817

A wonderful dirt cheap alternative to buying a $5 bottle of Febreze. This version is about 5 cents to make and the scent is much nicer too. I use it all the time.

Recipe #71485

This is a wonderfully relaxing sea salt scrub because of the lavender scent. It is great for calming nerves, relieving stress and aiding in sleep. Almond Oil and Grapeseed Oil are light carrier oils that won't clog pores or leave your skin feeling too greasy, just smooth and moisturized. Most health food stores and some organic sections of major supermarkets carry these ingredients.

I am going to make this for Christmas gifts. You can find the clay by doing a Google search for "white clay powder". You can use glass grated cheese shakers for containers.
