If it is not summer and we're not grilling, this is my favorite way to make chicken in the house. I love deep-fried chicken, but I dislike making it. This is the next best way to enjoy the taste without the mess and guilt. I hope you enjoy it. *Note: Prep time includes refrigeration time.
This is my favorite standard dumpling recipe from the cookbook "White Trash Cooking." This is not a light and fluffy dumpling but more like a noodle, but not really pasta. They hold up well when making homemade chicken and dumplings. This is incredibly easy and I'm still unsure why it works so well but I won't complain.
A delightful alternative to traditional chili! I serve mine over corn chips, topped with shredded cheese and sour cream. This an easily modified recipe to suit your taste, time and available equipment. (I've been known to use canned chicken in this and it's still delicious!)
I found this recipe several years ago in a magazine alongside an ad for either soup or noodles. It sounded good, I tried it, my kids LOVED it and now I cook it for dinner about every other week. It's super-fast and very yummy!
Have not tried this but it's up soon. It's got so many of my favorite ingredients. Putting here for safekeeping! Original recipe can be found at http://dishingwithleslie.blogspot.com/2012/09/chicken-bombs.html --
