You will love this bread! It was on our local news from a local chef and in our opinion, he can do no wrong! After broiling you serve this sliced and eat with a fork. We N'Awlinians eat this as a meal, but you can serve this as a side with your favorite seafood meal.

    Recipe #51720

Sunflower seeds make a delightful crunch to this very tasty bread. From Betty Crocker Bread Machine Cook book. Baking time depends on your machine.

    Recipe #55138

Adapted from Gourmet magazine. I have had this one in my files for ages and decided to share. This is a great choice for a dinner party or a romantic meal. I tried this with dried herbs and used half the amount when fresh was not available (Herbes de Provence is also a nice choice - again, using half the amount as the fresh). Prep time includes 30 minutes of actual prep work and the rest of the time is rising time. This makes two round loaves, about 10 slices per loaf.

    Recipe #60701

This simple yeast bread benefits from a prepackaged soup mix and fresh parmesan cheese. It's great for sandwiches

    Recipe #61957

This recipe is from the site italianfoodforever.com. I found it about a year ago and have made it countless times, for countless occasions. I have messed up many things in this recipe and still it always turns out great. It is very simple--I LOVE it! *NOTE: Based on some reviews, you may need to add a bit more water. Remember that there are lots of variables in baking, and that making any kind of yeast bread may require adjustment depending on climate, altitude, and your ingredients. Your success comes from sensing the dough and what it needs, not from following a recipe to the letter. So if it feels dry, add a bit more water a tablespoon at a time until it feels more elastic. For the record, I have never had to add more water.

    Recipe #63530

One of the best cornbread recipes, this recipe goes back years and I still make it, this complete recipe may be doubled.

Nothing is better than smelling fresh rosemary and fresh baking bread! This has been a favorite of mine for several years now. Prep-time includes rising time.

This is a delicious party bread and so easy to make. No need to let the bread dough rise after defrosting. Recipe found on the web.

    Recipe #84491

This bread is moist and tender, and full of raisins, fresh apples and walnuts! Using buttermilk makes all of the diffence.

    Recipe #86021

This recipe is adapted from King Arthur Flour Baker's Companion. It produces a fine-textured loaf, very soft, fluffy and definitely delicious. And it's easy too. You may do it by hand/mixer/bread machine. Instructions are given for hand-method as i usually make manually. Update - I've included instructions for cinnamon rolls and ham & cheese buns.

    Recipe #86410

The moistest cornbread you'll ever eat! The jalapenos are just for flavor - if you need more heat, you know what to do! Serve with some nice smoked Texas brisket, or ribs, or chili - anything goes! Thanks to my friend, and terrific cook Betsy for this one!

This is spectacular. I got it from McCall's Cooking School Cookbook. I have a hard time getting it out of the pan 'pretty', but even when it comes out in pieces, it's wonderful.

    Recipe #91200

From MasterCook. Don't expect a coarse grained cornbread here. These taste more like corn cake, and are the most awesome muffins I've ever stuffed in my mouth. They don't even need butter.

    Recipe #93724

This is a clone of the bread for Schlotsky's sandwich bread. It also makes wonderful toast. Schlotsky's is a chain delicatessen. I'm not sure where all their locations are but they are popular in Texas. See the recipe for the muffalata filling that is outstanding on this sandwich.

    Recipe #20736

This makes 2 loaves of the best zucchini bread I have ever tasted.

    Recipe #21171

This is my favorite home baked bread recipe. I got it from an Amish cookbook years ago and no other bread recipe I have tried beats it. It is a standard in our house with beef stew.

On the Islands,it's traditional to make and give this tropical fruit-nut bread as a gift. Imagine this bread toasted and buttered or made into French toast! From Sam choy's "Island Flavors".

This is a versatile recipe that makes a lovely loaf of bread. It can also be made into rolls instead of loaves, and the addition of roasted garlic or spices makes it a wonderful taste treat. Makes 2 loaves or 6 rolls

This is a recipe I've modified to suit my own tastes. It has a great, tight crumb, wonderful texture, and full of flavor. This bread loaf is my default "every-day" loaf. Makes wonderful toast.
