From Madhur Jaffrey's Indian Cooking. I've been vegetarian on and off, so I'm not sure if I've ever tried this, but my husband *loves* it. ***cayenne & paprika*** You can combine them in any amount you like, as long as you use a total of 1 1/2 tablespoons. (I usually just use a little bit of cayenne and a LOT of paprika, so the kids can eat it too.) I use chicken legs (because they are cheap) and the marinade covers about 10 legs.

Traditional Filipino method of stir frying steak.

Recipe created by Todd Wilbur www.TopSecretRecipes.com. Need a simple cocktail for a hot day when the thought of lemonade makes your mouth water? Try this one. You start crafting this new signature blender drink by making lemon syrup from scratch from lemon juice, sugar and water. Track down some limoncello--an Italian Lemon liqueur--and Smirnoff citrus vodka. Now you're just a press of the blender button away from being refreshed. I borrowed a friend's cookbook entitled Top Secret Restaurant Recipes 2 and wanted to put this recipe here so that I wouldn't lose it.

    Recipe #253966

This is an extremely flavourful curry. Vegetarians can use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth. Kids really like this too (with less pepper). Serve with basmati as a side to a more elaborate dinner, or alone, for a simple meal.

    Recipe #76768

Serve this nut-filled pastry made with refrigerated pie crust with a compote of fruit for an easy breakfast worthy of company. A kringle is a thin pastry developed over 100 years ago in Denmark. Kringles are hand-rolled from Weinerbrod dough. Many layers of the flaky dough are made, stacked then shaped in an oval. After filling with fruit, nut, or other flavor combinations, the pastry is baked and iced. Kringles are still popular items in modern Danish bakeries. Recipe from Dean Phillips, Pillsbury Bake-Off 38 contestant.

Gather friends together for this delightful "social" chicken dinner. Because you can prepare the salsa ahead of time and the chicken roasts long enough for you to have a cocktail and hors d'oeuvres before dinner, you can throw the party and enjoy it too.

I found this recipe on-line while looking for South African recipes and it stated: "adapted from South African Gourmet Food and Wine by Rosen & Loon"

    Recipe #309422

These little tasty treats are always a hit. They taste just like an apple pie, except they are mini sized and easy to eat. They are great to take to a party because there is not cutting and serving needed. People always rave about these. I think their pretty tasty too! My hubby loves to eat them warm with vanilla ice cream on the side. Maybe a little caramel sauce drizzled over top! Mmmmm...

Use Cod a nice hearty white fish! Make sure the potatoes are towel dried before frying. You can save time and fry in 2 pans.I like the malt vinegar, but you can serve with tartar sauce. If you have left over batter dip a sliced sweet onion and fry (Onion Rings) ** Thes are accepted for the Cajun Region based on the seasonings used as they are very indicative of the way Fish and Chips is made in Louisiana**

A Classic Canadian Burger, with a slight twist. Serve with your favourite accompaniments, on grilled buns or bread. Recipe by Ruth Gangbar from Food and Drink.

I love this drink so couldn't believe it when I saw it wasn't on Zaar. This is from the back of a packet of Pearl Barley. You can also experiment with a mixture of other citrus juices such as lime or grapefruit.
