This recipe has a nice combination of flavors, and colors, and it's healthy.
The Jicama (pronounced - hee-ka-ma), is an amazing addition to this recipe as it adds a nice crunch and mild flavor, and until this recipe I had no idea what this was. I do now, and it's a keeper. It's always nice to find a new vegetable and today this was it.
This fun assortment of flavorful nibbles is ideal for summer entertaining. End the meal with frozen yogurt or a fruit salad of halved fresh cherries and pieces of watermelon. BonAppetit Magazine, August 2009 edition. The cumputer has been playing gmaes with me, please forgive the headings in the directions. ;)
Based on a Martha Stewart Recipe, but I altered it (because I think this tastes better! haha)
Bite size fresh strawberries filled with a sweet cream cheese mixture. I took these to a party and they were gone in minutes with tons of complements! :)
This is EXACTLY what I had been looking for. I have made a ton of candied nut recipes and nothing quite works for me. . .this one makes the cut! Feel free to use walnuts instead of pecans. They are heavenly as a snack, ask a housewarming gift or simply on top of a salad. This is a twist on a couple different recipes already here on Zaar.
FLAVOR GALORE! Great for parties or serve for Super Bowl event. Watch out -- this dip is ADDICTIVE! Great served on Triscuits Thin Crisps, Club or Ritz crackers. If you want more zing or bite increase garlic powder or hot pepper sauce. For best results do not exceed amount of butter or mayonnaise. A good inexpensive dip for parties and you may want to double the recipe for a party. Oh Man, this is good!!!
This is such an excellent recipe for a quick, week night meal. Loads of flavor and something different to have. I printed this off a food blog and now I can't find which blog it was from! I modified the recipe to the tastes of my family, and we all loved it.
This is a tangy twist on traditional hummus. Once you see how easy it is to make at home, you'll never break the bank by getting store bought again! Cook time is refrigeration time (if you can wait that long!)
My mother-in-law recently served this at our baby shower. It was a tremendous hit! Delicious flavors meld together to create a rich and creamy indulgence. Serve with toasted baguette, crackers, veggies, or whatever else you please. This looks so pretty on a serving plate - your guests won't want to touch it. But they'll be glad when they do - delish! Note: cooking time is chill time.
I discovered this contest late at night on Saturday. Not realizing it
was January 26th, I printed off the ingredient list to show my young
son who aspires to be a chef. He was game until he said, "It's already
January 27th, should I try the next contest?" "What?!" I replied,
"Today's the 27th?" So anyway, I haven't actually tried this recipe,
but I think it sounds good. LOL I did try it during the contest, and I have changed the instructions a little.
Delicious pesto from Taste of Home. I have used it so many
times in so many different ways.....If you can, allow to refrigerate for several hours before using to allow the flavors to blend. (This is not included in recipe time.)
An excellent snack for most any occasion--holidays, camping, sporting event get togethers, lunchboxes, etc. We can't stop eating them! These make a great gift, just cut a piece of cellophane and wrap into a cone shape tied with a colorful ribbon, or place in a pretty tin. They will be appreciated.
This is the most delicious appetizer! Don't be wary of the ingredients, the outcome is fabulous. My neighbor gave me this savory cheesecake recipe. The flavors are amazing and it goes well served with crackers and a bunch of grapes on the side. This is an elegant appetizer, especially if you're looking for something out of the ordinary.
From chef Jon Ashton of Celebration, Florida - a friend I met in cooking class. This "htipiti" dip is one of a medley of Mediterranean dips served at Disney World.
It's fantastic with Recipe#219104 - serve with pork cubes and toothpicks.
