A rich and wonderful (and easy!) addition to your holiday parties, folks will be asking you for this "secret" recipe. :)

    Recipe #44829

So easy it's almost ridiculous! :) These chocolate-covered pomegranate seeds are a great addition to the holiday season, and the kids will like helping to make them.

    Recipe #45549

I asked my husband where he got his special cranberry recipe, and he said, "I made it up." So here it is. These are really, really good, and much better than anything you'll find coming out of a can. Give 'em a try on your holiday table!

    Recipe #47131

This is what we have at Christmastime with our steamed puddings. :)

    Recipe #48895

This recipe is when I was a child growing up learning to cook. It's very good. And very easy for a child to make with a little help.

    Recipe #107364

This is the stuffing that my mom makes very Thanksgiving, and it's absolutely divine. The holiday just isn't the same without the taste of this dish. The day after it's cooked, it's wonderful cold, too! This recipe makes enough for a 12-pound turkey, about three quarts of stuffing.

    Recipe #44938

An unusual and colorful Italian holiday salad from Giada De Laurentiis, of the show "Everyday Italian." On the show she used either the cranberries or the pomegranate, but I think it's good with both!

    Recipe #112674

There was a request for the Outback's Blue Cheese Chopped Salad on the forum today... it's been a couple of years since I had the salad myself, but I recall really enjoying it! The request set my tastebuds a'craving, so I put together this salad. We took it to a potluck today - I had two servings of it for lunch, and the husband and potluck attendees pronounced it great! :)

    Recipe #114912

My husband Mike makes these fabulous flat (no-flour) Italian cookies every year for the holidays, and they're absolutely heavenly! These cookies are an excellent addition to food gifts, as they will keep for a long time. Silpat baking sheets are very helpful when making these little gems.

    Recipe #46593

These will get gobbled down as fast as you can put them out on a plate. :) At first I thought it would be silly for me to enter my recipe in for them, because it's so simple. But like my Mom's tartar sauce recipe which you can find here, my family likes deviled eggs which are not at all sweet. People always rave about them when I make them this way, so I think it's worth sharing the recipe. Picnic storing and serving tip: fit two filled halves together, wrap in waxed paper or other kitchen wrap, and twist the ends!

    Recipe #31179

A family recipe dating back to the early part of the 20th century, by my great-grandmother. I have a tendency to think of this as Grandpa's salad, because he always prepared it for us. My mom and sister still make it for our holiday family gatherings, although now we usually use sugarfree Jello. (I've recently discovered that Perfection Salad is not something unique to our family - there are a lot of old recipes on net for it. They're generally similar to the one below.)

    Recipe #27320

I needed an appetizer for a dinner last night, and had all these ingredients at home. These came out wonderfully well! Very tasty. :)

    Recipe #114911

So many people think they don't like brussels sprouts - it's sad, because they're such a wonderfully tasty vegetable! I figure they must have had them prepared badly when they were younger, because everybody I fix them for change their minds about them. My latest conquest was my husband, who thought he didn't like them, either. He has since changed his mind, of course.

    Recipe #31209

I originally made these at the request of my old chorus director John Kelleher, who also worked at Seattle area Starbucks (I think he'd had the combo in a cookie there, once). I was surprised but very pleased they came out so tasty! These days, these are pretty much the only cookies which are requested and I make on a fairly regular basis.

    Recipe #112683

A rich, savory cheese spread featuring the tastes of Italy, warm and comforting!

    Recipe #110280

This year my mom brought to Thanksgiving dinner a pan of what the original recipe called "brownies" but looked more like a sheet cake. After taking a taste of it, I decided I had to type up and post the recipe - it is so wonderfully moist, almost gooey, and absolutely delicious! She clipped the recipe from a magazine, not sure which one. Mom says it was really easy to make. I say you'll love it and will be handing out the recipe to friends. :)

    Recipe #109414

Regardless of what Rob calls it, this eggnog is far from ordinary! Very, very rich, you'll want to serve this one to adults only. Guaranteed to impress! My friend Rob Lowry shared this recipe with me for one of my Christmas collection cookbooks a few years back. Prep time includes chilling.

    Recipe #107009

The Southern Comfort in this recipe lends a wonderful flavor to the yams! I made this last year for my family (who usually prefer plain glazed chunky yams), and they loved it. :)

    Recipe #27448

This year, my daughter Julie and I made a team effort out of making the green bean casserole for Christmas dinner. I had a recipe I'd wanted to use portions of, and together in the kitchen we made created a new twist on the old standard that was really tasty!

    Recipe #107365

This recipe is based on one I originally got from from the Wolf House Bed and Breakfast on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. It is absolutely delicious!! Wendy Burgess at Wolf House says: "Prepare the batter the night before for a delectable, fresh, and warm coffee cake for breakfast. This is perfect for a sweet wake-up call to overnight guests or anytime you want to treat yourself after sleeping in!" Total time listed does not include chilling overnight.
