These are some of the best candied sweet potatoes I have ever eaten! Kicked up with bourbon, real vanilla bean, brown sugar, butter, orange, and cinnamon. YUM!

I have used this recipe for over 30 years now (as did my mother)--and everyone loves it! An absolute requirement at our Thanksgiving Holiday table. Recipe makes enough for a 12-pound turkey, and is easily doubled. I have included the optional technique for making stuffing balls. Enjoy! Adapted from Betty Crocker. Note: see tip for freezing.

This is the way our family likes our mashed potatoes. The evaporated milk makes this dish special. Simple, creamy and good!

If you are looking for a fantastic homemade turkey gravy, look no further! This is by far the absolute best tasting gravy to accompany the traditional Thanksgiving or Christmas roast turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes. No other gravy will do! From my family to yours--I hope you enjoy as much as we do!

A favorite at our Thanksgiving table every year. Add marshmallows if you like. Versatile recipe- - you can vary the spices and type of nut used. One of my family's favorite variations is cinnamon or allspice in place of the ginger, with a splash of brandy, finely minced orange zest, a few tablespoons peach preserves, and a sprinkling of Sweet & Spicy Pecans, recipe #117774. Adapted from Better Homes and Gardens All-Time Favorite Recipes.

These savory stuffed sweet potatoes are a real treat. You could make these with real bacon instead of the Canadian bacon, and with a regular baking potato but we really love the sweet potatoes best. An extremely satisfying lunch or side dish, and not just for Thanksgiving! Adapted from Health.

Always a hit at a cocktail buffet, holiday time or not!!! If you want to go lighter, cut one cup of the cream; however the volume of the sweet potatoes absorbs the richness of the full amount. Recipe is from Zanne Zakroff of Gourmet magazine.

Tart dried cherries, red grapes, and candied pecans bring traditional waldorf salad to a new level! Makes a lovely addition to the Thanksgiving or Christmas table!! My sister's recipe, originally from Bon Appetit magazine.

I love this recipe because it is so simple and delicious! Delicious, fast and easy holiday appetizer to feed those waiting for the big dinner! Serve with graham crackers, fruit or whatever you want to dip. Recipe submitted by Fiona on a Hillbilly Housewife blog.

We love this creamy smooth spiced pumpkin dip served with crisp slices of red and green apples and Dutch or Swedish ginger cookies!

    Recipe #343049

A lovely holiday fruit sauce to serve with the traditional bird, with a couple of twists. Instead of straight-up sugar, a cup of pure maple syrup balances the tartness of the fruit. A cup of cranberry juice ensures the essential flavor remains the focus of the dish, and a bit of orange brightens the whole shebang. The Grand Marnier is optional. This is to say nothing of the texture, which to paraphrase the great Roseanne Conner, is "so far beyond canned sauce, that the light from canned sauce would take one billion years to reach the Earth." It is, in a word, awesome. Inspired by a Pioneer Woman recipe, via Kristen Swensson of Cheap, Healthy, Good.

Ruby red, rich and spicy cranberry sauce with a bright citrus note. A sophisticated blend of flavors! Goes equally well with roast turkey, beef, or ham. Make a batch at T.G., and freeze half for X'mas. Delicious! Note: I reduce the sugar to 3/4 cup of each, and use a tablespoonful of orange zest in place of the strip as we really enjoy the orange flavor. No need to strain the syrup, just scoop out the whole spices. Adapted from Bon Appetit, November 2001.

Enjoy the flavors of TG in every bite of these yummy Thanksgiving Turkey Burgers! The creamy cranberry-mayonnaise is wonderful; if you desire a spicier/hotter version mix in a spoonful of chopped chipotle peppers to the sauce (adjust amount to your taste). Great!

My very favorite apple pie, since childhood!! For the crust I always use Dad's Mazola No-Roll Pastry Shell recipe #117824 #117824. Dad always used Granny Smith apples, but I've found that Pink Lady apples also work beautifully in this pie--sometimes I use a combination of Granny Smith and Pink Ladies. Don't forget the vanilla ice cream! (Note: for those of you uncomfortable using a brown paper bag in the oven, you can omit that step and bake w/o the bag- - it's quite good that way too, -but- it won't be quite the same. Baking in the bag really does produce the most amazing pie!). I hope you enjoy this pie as much as we do!

A foolproof pie of chocolate and pecans, laced with your favorite bourbon--what's not to like! If you have unexpected company, grab a frozen crust from your freezer, and this will be ready in no time. A little ice cream on top is good. Originally from Wild Turkey Distillery.

These nuts are addictive!!! Serve as a delicious snack, super-easy appetizer (great on a Ritz cracker with whipped cream cheese), topping for salads (see my Waldorf Salad recipe #117914) or in candied sweet potatoes. And, they make the perfect hostess gift especially during the Holiday Season! I make a double batch before Thanksgiving and freeze in ziplock bags for use at Christmas and New Years. The kick is up to you, as they are really very mild as written (we think they are perfect this way). Recipe was given to me by my sister, originally from Bon Appetit.

    Recipe #117774

Definitely a requirement for the holiday appetizer tray! An old-school hors d'oeuvre that is worth the extra step of peeling the celery before stuffing it. If you would like an elegant party presentation, pipe the filling into the celery sticks and serve them on a platter of lettuce and crushed ice. Fabulous! Serves 4. Adapted from Saveur. Tip: You can make the filling a day ahead and refrigerate, then fill the next day.
