I couldn't find a recipe anywhere for coffee ice cream that didn't use either instant powdered coffee or a long and annoying process of steeping coffee in milk and cream, so I made one up. I used evaporated milk - NOT condensed milk! - to compensate for the water in the espresso. This recipe doesn't require a lot of egg yolks to be absolutely divine!

    Recipe #506660

This is the easiest sorbet recipe ever. This differs from traditional sorbet recipes, as it doesn't include simple syrup. Honestly, I didn't have time to make simple syrup from scratch. It would have required way too long to chill to the appropriate temperature. I instead used a mixture of ice-cold water, lemon juice, confectionery sugar and almond extract. "Cooking Time" includes time needed to churn in an ice cream maker as well as time needed to cure in the freezer. If you are as eager as I was to eat this sorbet, you may choose to serve it directly after churning without freezing for 2-4 hours, but please be aware that the sorbet will be soft and melt faster. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family! Happy eating!

A quick and easy sorbet to serve after any meal with a bit of kick to it: Mexican, Indian, Thai, etc. You'll need a good blender or Vitamix. We use our Waring Beehive-style blender.

I saw the name online and looked up what it is.

It doesn’t get much better’n this. Besides being remarkably easy to make (thanks to the crockpot), once chilled, this food from the Gods becomes super dense, like the center of an incredible chocolate bon bon. Take a bite and you will go, “mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.” Make small servings as this is *rich*. Found at worththewisk.com

Delicate flavor. I have modified a recipe from one of my cookbooks to this. This is excellent served with strawberries, other berries, fresh mango, pineapple and/or bananas.

_Recipezaar_ has turned me into an ingredient scavenger. ;-) Seriously - when shopping, if I spy an unusual-to-me ingredient, I buy it (in this case the mango puree in the freezer case). Then comes the task of finding ways to use it. This simple recipe was adapted from a Daisy Martinez episode aired on PBS. Cook time includes 3 1/2 hours freeer time.

Wonderfully refreshing. Even creamier than regular Vietnamese iced coffee.

This was the first time I ever made custard-based ice cream, and it was delicious! The rose water and saffron go great together, without overpowering each other. I doubled the original recipe, since most ice cream machines need at least 4 cups of liquid (also because my family gobbled it up in no time!).

    Recipe #318129

A recipe from the blog of The Family Kitchen. This is something I have to try this summer. I love coffee ice cream. The preparation time is the time it has to cool in the fridge.

    Recipe #31274

Rich and smooth custard based ice cream. Use the best chocolate you can. The ginger offers a lovely tang with the rich chocolate.

    Recipe #475341

This will make about 10 cups, you can reduce the recipe by half if desired. Plan ahead the coffee/chocolate mixture needs to be refrigerated for at least 8 hours.

Ben and Jerry make the best ice creams and this lovely choice is one of their best in my opinion. Give it a try and see what you think Cooking time is however long it takes your ice cream freezer to make it.
