Wonderful recipe from the Kraft website. for quick, smooth jigglers. Great treat for Valentines when you use strawberry jello and vanilla yogurt. For those with diet concerns - use sugar-free jello, Sugar free fat free pudding, and skim milk. It tastes great.

    Recipe #275000

From *The World Encyclopedia of Coffee* -- Per the intro, "The syrup of this exotic fruit dessert is flavoured & sweetened w/lime + coffee liqueur, & it can be prepared the day b4 intent to serve." This is definitely a spec occ & company-worthy effort that IMO would work very well as a brunch & luncheon dessert or (almost more appealing to me) as part of a cheese & fruit dessert platter if served in pre-baked tartlet shells. The cookbook actually called it a salad, but I couldn't accept that. It's a dessert in my book & got my attention w/it's unusual combo of flavours, burst of color in the pic + an easy make-ahead fix. The prep may appear labor-intensive, but is really just the prep of the fruit & I tried to be detailed vs overly brief. (Time does not include 1 hr sitting time for fruit to reach rm temp). *Enjoy* !

Kataifi is a popular Middle Eastern pastry made with shredded phyllo dough, also called Kataifi. In the traditional recipe you roll 3 inch strips around the nuts. I have made it like a cake -- MUCH EASIER. You can find it in your better local Greek or Middle Eastern market. Supposedly you can cut phyllo into thin strips yourself, however it would not be nearly as wonderful as the package Kataifi.....it is so fine and marvelous. I am going to use this as a topping for savory casserole. Be creative and use other nut combination. Pistatios, pecans, etc.

"Rich, subtly spiced with cinnamon and ginger, and sweet with molasses, this dessert is a version of the pudding that has been served at the venerable Rhode Island clam shack Aunt Carrie's since it opened, in the 1920s." - Saveur

This recipe comes from the "Gone With The Wind Cook Book - Famous Southern Cooking Recipes". There is a note in the foreward which I love: "Gone With The Wind told of a style of living. as well as a romantic drama, A way of living, playing, and eating that thrilled us all."
