This recipe comes from Rachael Ward (wife of Aussie actor Bryan Browne) She uses butternut pumpkin (or maybe you call it a squash) I prefer to use Kent with its denser texture and more intense flavour. Save time and cook the pumpkin and bacon at the same time!

Found on the net for the World Tour. Cook time is refrigeration time.

Recipe #137037

Based on a recipe from House of Finland’s cookbook from San Diego, California, Our Best Home Cooking. This is my youngest stepson’s favorite salad. Add cooked chicken and serve with quesadillas for a meal.

Tastes like an Italian sub.... but it's a salad! Nice for summer picnics. Best if eaten the day prepared.

Recipe #243568

Delightful and yummy potato salad with a different twist of vinegar and sour cream as ingredients.

Recipe #117656

A little different from your usual potato salad. There is no mayo in this one! If you don't want to use as many peas, it can easily be halved.

This is a recipe I have been making for ages. I didn't bother to post it here because it is a Nigella Lawson recipe and thought it would be posted already, but to my amazement it was not. My family take this to work for lunch and they love it. It is so quick and easy to prepeare the night before for your lunch the next day. I must admit that I make changes to this recipe all the time, but have posted as per Nigella's recipe. I often use chopped peanuts instead of sesame seeds to sprinkle on top, I also sometimes use a low fat peanut butter and have sometimes put in a little finely diced chilli. I have used spaghetti noodles instead of egg noodles........ the list is endless as this is a very versatile why don't you give this a go for a quick lunch or snack. It is also fantastic, served in small noodle boxes to take to picnic's.

This is an easy, comforting recipe that only uses 5 ingredients!

A lowfat version of a traditional lowfat southwest salad.

Recipe #356118

A little more work than usual for a chicken salad, but it's worth it.

This recipe comes from a book called 'Harumi's Japanese Home Cooking' by Harumi Kurihara. I boiled the carrots and potatoes instead of steamed and it worked well. I removed the carrots first as the potatoes need to be boiled longer. I used Japanese mayonnaise but I think any type of mayonnaise will work.

Cooking Light. June 2009. Round out the meal with grilled chicken, lemony hummus, and toasted 100 percent whole-wheat pita wedges. Note time does not include "resting" time.

I love this salad. It tastes best when it chills for several hours or over night.

No noodles, thank you! I haven't made tihs yet, but it looks great. Waiting for my soybeans to grow this summer. I'm salivating.
