I discovered Breezermom's Recipe #490169 Recipe #490169, and decided to use it to make home made marinara and it turned out divine. Toss it with 16 oz of rigatoni, 8 oz. fresh mozzarella, and the rest of the 2 oz of fresh basil for the most delicious Caprese Pasta Dish ever! You can puree all or part of the tomatoes for a smoother sauce. The time does not include the 7 hours to oven roast the tomatoes

Ready, Set, Cook! Special Edition Contest Entry: This Mexican inspired dish is a perfect mix of fresh and hardy. I love the hint of spice, the crunch of the hash brown crust and the zing of the lime juice. It comes together quick for a delicious dish that is impressive enough to entertain with!

Nummy dessert from Cooking Light 1988

    Recipe #18939

When I first left home I shared a flat with a chinese girl and this is one of the ways she would cook chicken. The marinade is sticky and yummy and smells wonderful.

    Recipe #135753

This is great in the summertime, when the last thing you want for dinner is something hot. (Preparation time given does not include chilling time.)

A wildly refreshing dessert that will have your mouth singing! A unique and delicious granita and it's so easy to make! This granita is a fancy schmancy way to end a meal, especially Italian. The citrus flavors refresh the palatte, while the basil gives the fresh taste of Italy When our team thought of Italy, basil came right to mind. It just shouts Italy! We thought putting it in a frozen granita would be fancy, unique and delicious! Made up by the Fancy Feinschmeckers Team for the Italian Frozen Dessert Challenge in the Zaar World Tour #4. Each team member picked an ingredient and told why they picked it: mliss29-I've always liked lemons, even since I was a little kid - Wildflower-I love orange anything! And the blossoms are so pretty, too! Alskann- Some things you don't scrimp on; pure vanilla is one of the most complex flavors in the world, its unique flavor and aroma will blend beautifully with the fresh, tart citrus flavors and the herbal essence of the basil to make this granita both flavorful and aromatic - Celticevergreen-grapefruit juice-because it's my favorite flavor and to me is like tasting liquid sunshine - Nasseh-water-It is the foundation for so many things we love & enjoy. It is in almost every food, in some form or another luvinlif2k- I'm liking the slice of lime as an optional garnish. It should look lovely with the sprig of basil and if you like your granita a bit more tart, just squeeze some lime on your granita or rub your spoon with the lime before each bite - Heydarl-Basil Sprig, as I love basil & would like to be decorative - Sharon123-I picked salt! In Matthew 5:13 it says,"Ye are the salt of the earth". Salt is also thrown over the shoulder for good luck. In ancient times, salt was precious and used to preserve meats, fish, etc. , and it also heightens the flavor of many foods. It sure works in this recpe!

Recipe from Texas chef Dean Fearing of Mansion on the Turtlecreek. He recommends serving it with a barbeque rubbed chicken breast. It is also terrific poured over a block of cream cheese and served with crackers for an easy appetizer.

Photo may be seen (in Savor) at: www.annacia.com I love pasta salad's and this one was shared with me recently. It's simple, delicious and packs a decent amount of nutrition. I swapped out the spinach for green kale which I roughly cut across the leaves and it was delicious. I skipped the pine nuts on top as I didn't have any at that time.

    Recipe #498665

The crust is made from shredded sauteed zucchini, and filled with a luscious tomato basil cheese filling. Try this! This is a Giada recipe from Everyday Italian.

A refreshing juice drink to have as a snack or as part of your breakfast or first thing on a hot morning. From Australian BH&G Diabetic Living. Cooking time is getting the vegies through the juicer.

    Recipe #444457

To combat lunch bag boredom, you need to straddle that fine line between exciting and familiar, which is just what this salad does. Exotic large pearl couscous gets dressed up with all the ingredients of that perennial favorite - the bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwch - and tossed in a lemony dressing to create a packable salad that will appeal to the whole family. To give even more heft to this lunch, and perhaps turn it into an easy light supper, add thickly sliced or diced smoked turkey or chicken.

My BF said this was the best rice he had ever eaten. I adapted this recipe from a Sunset Mexican Cookbook. This recipe can easily be cut in half.
