A lovely spread made with fresh blueberries and cream cheese, you'll love this! Use this on bagels, toast, pancakes, muffins, etc. Canada, New England, Mid Atlantic, South, West, blueberries are everywhere!
This crust is so good! The dough can actually be pressed out to 1/4" thick, cut into triangles, and baked into cookies! With the peach filling, topped with whipped cream and/or caramel sauce, this is a keeper! From Chef Caprial Pence, who has her own cooking show on PBS.
PaulaG and I were partners in a cookbook exchange. This recipe is from the cookbook she sent me, Seasoned With Sun from El Paso TX. It is a yummy alternative to cheese and veggie filled omelets and is great with a nice slice of grilled ham. Thanx Paula!
I love this salad. The first time I made it the onion was a little too much, so next time I did not add the whole onion-I only used half. Or for a shortcut you could buy your favorite brand of Poppyseed dressing.
We have one of these almost everyday! 1 WW point and so easy and so good! I use Diet Sierra Mist, but you can also substitute Diet Sprite or Diet 7-Up and I'd think you'd get the same result. Also, we use the frozen smoothie blend fruit, but you can use anything you'd like! Enjoy.
Decadent and delicious are two words to describe these turnovers. These simple hand pies are a wonderful savory-sweet dessert. The texture of the pear is perfect for a turnover, because it is soft and requires no precooking. The raspberry preserves add just a hint of sweetness, a nice counterpoint to the rich, creamy Brie. For convenience’s sake, these can be made up to several hours ahead, or even the night before, and baked shortly before serving. These are best served 15 to 30 minutes out of the oven.
This very elegant salad recipe is from Chef Willie White of New Brunswick's fabulous Algonquin Hotel. Chef White likes to garnish this impressive salad with edible flowers such as nastursiums or chive blossoms. The whole recipe title is Wild New Brunswick Strawberry Salad
with Pepper Toasted Parmesan Crisps and Blueberry Dressing.
This is a beautiful soup that can be used as a dessert course or a soup course. It is a special dessert with a romantic presentation. Perfect for wedding and anniversary parties or with Valentine’s Day dinner. From www.finedinings.com
There is nothing better than baking with fresh strawberries. Fresh-picked strawberries and almond-flavored whipped cream make a mouthwatering filling for this special summertime cake roll dessert. This recipe is from Kim's New England Kitchen. You can make the cake ahead of time, refrigerate and fill an hour or so before serving. You can even freeze the unfilled cake roll for three to four weeks before using. Shaved chocolate or toasted sliced almonds are excellent as additional toppings.
Find the biggest, sweetest, freshest strawberries around and serve with stems on for a handle and start dipping. So light and delicious. The recipe comes from Gwendolyn's Bed and Breakfast Inn in Vermont.
