Here's a way to make the cornstarch paste called for in some of my recipes.

This came from a "light" cook book and makes a great sustitute for heavy cream in dessert recipes. Do not overmix, it will cause it to become too liquidy. Cooking time reflects set time.

Being a diabetic is hard. It's difficult to find everyday ingredients. However, if you use some of the "in-a-pinch" recipes and make your own, you can substitute the sugar for Splenda and **HOPE** it turns out right. This did and it's really opened doors for me as a dessert maker.

I saw this today on Paula Deen's show and HAD to try it since I had almost a quart of yogurt. It works. And I liked it better than using just yogurt. Cooking time is refrigeration time, preparation is time for butter to cool.
