Starbucks (copy cat recipes)

I have a Starbucks problem, it's on the way to work and they all know me by name! They see my car in the drive thru and immediately make my triple venti red eye!

You'll find these bars at Starbucks during special holidays. The texture is like a chewy brownie, but the flavors include white chocolate, zesty orange, and cranberry, finished with a cream cheese frosting. NOTES - this recipe uses a 10x15 pan. One of the photos shows you how to make the right cuts to create signature triangle shapes. Nov. 2013 note - the bars bought from Starbucks have gone down-hill this year with icing that is flavorless and no real ginger flavor to the bars. Skip Starbucks and make your own! For Valentine's Day, I used a heart-shaped cookie cutter and tinted the icing pink. They were beautiful!

A rich Starbucks espresso and the rich buttery taste of caramel & creamy milk what could be better. I only use Starbucks original whole bean espresso and grind it to a fine espresso powder and brew it up in my espresso machine. I use the double shot holder on my espresso machine and brew a double shot of espresso. (1 shot is 1 oz- this recipe calls for 2 full ounces of Starbucks espresso). I use a single serve blender for a Blended Caramel Macchiato, if you want a hot beverage just use steamed milk.

Now that I have my own espresso machine/milk steamer I can make those $4 drinks at home!!! This is one of mt favorites! Note: the white chocolate syrup in this recipe is the kind of syrup used to flavor coffee, while the regular chocolate is the same thing one would use for topping ice cream.

I found this recipe online several different places, and it IS a very good recipe. If you don't want to use the syrups called for in other recipes, make your own! When the syrup is done, brew the espresso, steam some hot milk, and continue with your latte. It's simple, it's delicious, and inexpensive. No hard to find syrups. Preparation time is a guess and probably takes less time then stated. Note: Please note! The recipe makes more syrup then called for. Please use only the amount called for. Put the rest in the refrig and use it later. Also, the stuff starbucks uses is obviously different from homemade, so use the amount called for. From www.TopSecretRecipes.com
