Ina's done it again! A pot roast to please your whole family and your guests will leave wanting the recipe. It will make your house smell wonderful. Adapted to reduce the salt and pepper by 1 tsp. each from Barefoot Contessa. Make sure to use KOSHER salt or reduce the salt significantly.
How could something so easy be so good, this is a no-fail, no-fuss recipe!...I made this recently with potato pancakes on the side, the brisket turned out simply fabulous, it was melt-in-your-mouth tender! I am going to try this with a regular pot roast also soon.
This marinade tastes just like the meat that you might be accustomed to getting at any taco stand. Usually sold as Al Pastor. This is great on lamb, pork, beef and chicken. I even saw someone on tv yesterday making this as a marniade for lamb burgers.
Made up from stuff in the kitchen! This recipe is vegan, but you can use non-vegan ingredients if you like (butter, milk, parmesan etc.) I had just a bit of local organic soy milk in the fridge, and added into the sauce at the last minute.
