Ragouts are thick and rich stews; this one is laden with mushrooms, chicken and sausage. Porcini mushrooms, a.k.a. cèpes, add their pungent, woodsy aroma to make this stew a knockout. It's diabetic friendly if you use a spicy low fat sausage (turkey sausage works)

While this serves 6 keep in mind that these are HEALTHY portions. If your feeding teenage boys you'll be lucky to get 2 servings. However, you'll feel better knowing that they are eating good for them food. I actually reccomend the micro method on this one.

This is a wonderful way to take advantage of summer's best strawberries. I hope that you will all enjoy it. The strawberries need to sit in the sugar for hours to develop the juice so do plan ahead just a bit. I started the berries in the morning and made the loaf in the afternoon.
