This tuna sandwich spread is full of fresh flavor. Use some freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best flavor in this tuna salad sandwich.

    Recipe #230304

The recipe for Gentleman's Relish has remained a secret since it was first invented by John Osborn in 1828 and no doubt some, whose taste buds recoil at this intensely salty blend of anchovies, butter, herbs and spices are happy for it to remain secret. However, it is wonderful spread on hot toast and added to scrambled eggs.....as well as adding a "kick" to savoury sauces and sandwiches! It is the essential ingredient for Scotch Woodcock - a Victorian snack served at the end of a meal! (For those who are interested, I have posted the recipe on Zaar!) This is my interpretation of this famous English relish.

    Recipe #228778

A very easy pate to make, Can be served as one large pate or in individual ramekins. Fantastic with melba toasts or crackers. Great served in individual tart shells. topped with a sprig of dill as garnish.

One of my husband's favorite things to cook is smoked salmon. This is our favorite, it is a very moist smoked salmon. Start soaking the wood chips while the salmon brines. Plan ahead by 2 hours. My kids love this, go figure!

Splendid recipe because extremely refined though really easy. Other advantage : you can cook it one day ahead.

    Recipe #172613

This is basically a puree or spread made of poached salt cod. Having said it that simply, let me just say that this is one of my most favourite dishes - the ingredients combine to create flavour-perfection. The salt cod has to be soaked for atleast 24 hours with many changes of water.

    Recipe #71075

A recipe for a delicious and attractive spread I got from my sister. Makes an impressive contribution if you have to take an hors d'oeuvre to a party. Serve with thin crackers.

    Recipe #89132

A sophisticated spread for crackers or canapes. A great addition to a Smorgesbrod setting!

    Recipe #61797

This is an easy appetizer you can literally whip up in 5 minutes - it's best if you prepare at least 6 hours ahead of serving to allow for chilling and having the flavors 'blend' together. Makes all the difference in the world.

    Recipe #70188

    Delicious appetizer--quick and easy.

    Recipe #158201

This recipe is wonderful on crisp crackers. It would make a nice cheese ball or party spread as it makes a lot.

    Recipe #137790

This is an awesome and delicious appetizer for a last minute preparation/invitation for a party or picnic. Or make ahead for your pre-planned gathering. Chill until served.

This is really delicious, especially if you are low-carbing it. It's a great alternative to "plain" tuna salad. Can be used as a dip for celery sticks, spread on celery stalks, or stuffed in cherry tomatoes. Prep time does not include chill time, since you can leave it in the fridge for longer than the one hour mentioned in the recipe.

    Recipe #60072

Easy and quick appy spread. Good on toast too

A change from garlic toast. You need to at least "like" anchovies for this one! Serving size depends on how thick or thin you spread the mixture on each slice of bread.

    Recipe #20140

This is a 'manly' tuna spread. Once it's whizzed, chill for 2-24 hours before serving. He may not even realize that the main ingredient is tuna!
