Partridges in the style of Philip II, who is considered by the Spanish people as their greatest king. Because partridges are pricey, the author tried this with whole chicken breasts and said it is still elegant enough for the most important company. From "The Art of Spanish Cooking."
My family loves beef tips and gravy over egg noodles. Here is a new twist to the traditional beef gravy version. The horseradish has a subtle flavor, so this dish can be served to kids and company alike. Serve with a nice salad and you are good to go.
I found this one at a Puerto Rican website (El Boricua.com) when I was not able to get a hold of GMa to tell me how to make them. :)
It makes the process way much simple than the traditional. Yummy yummy!
Traditional Spanish recipe for tender chicken breasts subtly seasoned with fresh rosemary.
According to Spanish tradition, when you pass by a rosemary bush you should pull some sprigs from the fragrant shrub and carry them in your pocket to ensure good luck in the week to come! Perhaps this dish will bring you that same good fortune! Submitted for Zaar World Tour 5.
Potatoes cooked in red wine, from the Rioja region of Spain. From the Basque Kitchen.
The original recipe does not contain cheese; that was my husband's idea. Only add the butter if you're not using the cheese.
This one's not for the kiddies!
You can use other types of potatoes if you don't have Yukon Gold.
