A classic and flavorful soup, originating in Greece.

    Recipe #7602

Chowders are simple soups - usually just fish, potato, onion and milk. They are quick to make and among the best soups in Canada. This haddock chowder is a recreation of the popular chowder served at the Evangeline Snack Bar in Grand Pri, N.S. When asked the secret of the chowder's success, the waitress modestly answered, "We get good fish here." You might like to add a few cooked shrimp, a spoonful of fresh parsley or some crumbled bacon to the soup. If haddock is unavailable, substitute other firm white fish.

This is extremely quick and easy, great for work days. Add some bread and you're all set! SOURCE: WWW.

    Recipe #83417

Another great, easy ramen recipe. I've used this a lot, especially when school is in session! Cheap, quick and I always have the ingredients around (unless I haven't been to the store for like a month :-) )

    Recipe #36129

This couldn't be simpler...or faster, and tastes just as good as your local Chinese take-out.

    Recipe #356717

My wonderful neighbor often cooks for his wife. On this particular day, he brought me a container full of nice hot chili because it was too spicy for her. It was so delicious I asked him for the recipe. Darned if he didn't go to the store a couple weeks later and bring me the ingredients and the recipe. We made it last night and it couldn't be easier. I've recently learned how to can meats and will make this with a jar of canned ground beef next time, making this a meal entirely from my pantry - yeah! This will be a regular at my house. Next time going to have to make some fluffy cornbread to go with it. Zaar wouldn't allow for the Bush Beans to enter properly. The can says "Bush's Best Chili Beans (Red Beans in Chili Sauce) Medium Sauce". I add the cumin and vinegar to taste - adjust to your own. Think this would be SO yummy on hot dogs with a bit of chopped onion and cheese.

Love, love, love this recipe! It's done in less than 20 minutes and is so flavorful and creamy. Perfect with a salad and garlic bread or a grilled cheese! I have made my own alterations/additions to this recipe. Here's a tip on the sage: sometimes I'll use dried sage instead of the fresh sage leaf and in that case I start with about a teaspoon and add more to taste if need be. Also, I use my immersion blender and puree the soup right in the pot rather than using a regular blender...Giada just uses a regular blender, either way works fine! Enjoy!

Rachael Ray made this on her show recently and I can't wait to try it. It sure looks good and healthy. She promoted this as a 15-minute soup.

A quick and easy noodlebowl. Add shredded pork, bean sprouts or whatever you like on top as a garnish.

    Recipe #141670

This is a FAST, easy soup recipe. For a tasty variation, add a can of green chiles!

    Recipe #20765

You won't even bother ordering this soup from a Chinese restaurant anymore, this is so easy to make and very good! For a thicker soup use more cornstarch, I like to add in some sesame oil also and if I am serving this to guests I also add in a few drops of yellow food colouring for a nicer presentation.

    Recipe #168745

I first learned to like this soup at a Chinese restaurant called Nong Chin's in Marion Illinois. I had to try my hand at copying it, as I love it--this is the result. AND these people DO NOT give out their recipes.

    Triple for Christmas (at least)

    Recipe #401396

I am a hot and sour soup SNOB, for sure! I could eat it every day, but since I live 47 miles from the closest Chinese restaurant, and I'm on a budget as far as buying ingredients...I dreamed this up, and trust me, it is yummy. Not the real thing for sure, but it satisfies my cravings. I use Maruchan Ramen in either the oriental or shrimp flavor. You can use any brand rice vinegar, seasoned or unseasoned, and for the heat, I use only Sriracha HOT Chili Sauce. (or as we call it, rooster sauce, because of the picture of the rooster on the bottle.)

    Recipe #346550

This was on Paula Deans show. Paula and I love our butter!

    Recipe #189558

There was a time when I was very much into cold fruit soups, & this is still one of my favorite recipes! The cherries amount to about 4 cups. Preparation time does not include chilling time.

    Recipe #209824

I got this recipe from my mom. It is very easy and comforting.

    Recipe #355845

I came up with this recipe while searching for the perfect "Egg Drop Soup". My picky 9 year old likes it, so I feel it is kid friendly.

    Recipe #61070

From Everyday Food. Use the caramelized onions from recipe #437650.
