I love soups....in fact, I love any one dish meal or grill! I think this one is best for a cold winter night.

    Recipe #479968

I love Cream of Broccoli soup but the fat and calories do not like me. This is a lower fat but great tasting recipe to use. Keep in mind that if you use homemade chicken broth, remove the fat first ( let broth cool then skim off the fatty topping)

    Recipe #299034

Comfort soup at its finest! I usually make this to use up leftover ham. This is easy to adapt with other ingredients. I don't put celery in mine. I have added garlic sometimes as well.

    Recipe #262140

One of my most requested "soup of the day" recipes from when I was in the food business. Swiss cheese gives this soup the most delectable flavor.

    Recipe #46797

this is one of my favorite comfort foods when it is cold or raining. This is just enough for my family.

What a wonderful creamy and comforting potato soup! Garnish with additional snipped parsley and crumbled bacon or diced ham, as desired. Add a side salad and crusty baguette for a tasty lunch or light dinner. Perfect for a chilly autumn or winter's day...

    Recipe #442694

Making your own vegetable stock is easy and costs almost nothing. Use the trimmings from your vegetables, including onion skins, garlic skins, herb stems, potato and carrot peelings--just about anything in your kitchen except sulfurous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage. Also toss in anything in your fridge that looks like it's not so happy any more. This recipe uses a reduction method that produces a very rich stock, which increases the cooking time. You can do this in a third of the time by doing only 1 reduction, which takes about 45 minutes to an hour cooking time. But I highly recommend reducing 3 times.

    Recipe #217620

This soup is just very very good....you can find ramen noodles at most supermarkets, or at Asian grocery stores. Try different flavors and broth.

It's a meal in a bowl. There are many versions of Gumbo, I'm sure that everyone has there own. I like this one that I found an site for diabetic's.

    Recipe #189060

A steamy bowl of this on a cold, rainy day is SO comforting. I serve this with crusty bread and a simple salad.

    Recipe #75335

Another hearty low-fat soup from Lynn Fischer's "Fabulous Fat-Free Cooking" I've altered it slightly, adding the use of fresh herbs for additional flavor.

Not only does this taste good it’s very healthy. This recipe is from a diabetic cook book. Lots of vegetable, and because the lentils are high in soluble fiber this is a good recipe to lower blood cholesterol.

    Recipe #233817

Another addition for the 2005 World Tour. Not sure I will have a chance to test this one but it looks delicious.

    Recipe #135136

This is a great soothing soup for cold winters with hints of ginger and lemon.

    Recipe #215773

This soup is really yummy and healthy too! This makes a main dish accompanied by tortillas, or crusty french bread and a nice salad!Caribbean, Cuban, Mexican and Spanish influences! It really is best if the beans are soaked overnight. And depending on your cooker, the soup might need to be cooked longer.

I found this on a low carb website and it is very good. Sometimes I use the cinnamon, other times I don't. It tastes good even if you aren't a 'low carber'. The picture was taken using 2 lbs of beef stewing meat! Thanks for the comments to use 2 lbs, it's much better!
