I love roasted vegetables. I love pumpkin soup. Put them together and you have the best pumpkin soup with none of the hassle of peeling the pumpkin. Also, no dairy products necessary for the creamiest soup ever.

We are so lucky to have this wonderful grocery store here in Maryland. Saw this recipe on the back of Wegmans 5 pound potato sack, and had to try it. I found it delicious, and perfect for a warm Sunday dinner, or anytime during the week for that matter. I had everything on hand, so that made it even easier. *Note* -- any changes I made or mentioned are noted in the ( ) area. I hope you enjoy this, as much as we do on the farm. Now if I can just figure out how to grow clams!

    Recipe #223513

This is a thick and hearty potato soup. It really satisfies a hungry appetite on a cold day. I have prepared the soup and left in a crockpot on low for several hours.

This recipe took me 20 years to get from my uncle! I've since made it my own. :) Note: This chili is fantastic with Recipe #199381

This is one of my most favorite soups! I used to make this alot when first married because we had so little money, and hamburger was VERY cheap. LOL Serve this with a nice crusty French or Italian bread, and pudding or JELL-O for dessert and slip back into the '60s!!

    Recipe #140731

A substitute for plain potato soup and delicious!

Everyone knows by now how much I hate Edith Gump but love her cooking. I only pretend to like her and take her phone calls so she will share her delicious recipes. This onion soup is ambrosia in a bowl.

    Recipe #173175

This is so easy to do! Healthy and nutritious too! Flavour is only limited by you! I hope you try and like it too!

    Recipe #226569

The flavor combinations are creamy yet light. Serve with fresh bread.

This is a delicious soup my grandmother used to make. It is Polish for "soup of nothing" because it is made entirely of veggies. Very good, and very inexpensive. Great for winter!

They say that the Soup Nazi's restaurant in New York City makes the world's best soup. If you prefer a carnivor's version of mulligatawny soup, try recipe #57831. As requested, I give credit for this copycat recipe to Todd Wilbur. From www.TopSecretRecipes.com

A unique chili using a mixture of meats. It is spicy and loaded with flavor. The name of this recipe used to be Chili Colorado, but I challenged my new friend, Chef #383557, to make and rename the recipe for me after he pointed out that it was not a typical Chili Colorado recipe. (Please see his delightful review. I changed the measurement of the stew meat because if his review and because I also prefer more of this meat in my chili. I also like his idea for marinading the stew meat.) It was all in good fun and I am pleased with the new name. Thank you Bruce! Thank you also too all the reviewers of this recipe.

Really good. I do cook the rice separate, that way I don't make glue, and you can make it hotter-I do!

    Recipe #14625

I have tinkered with this, adding a little spicier pepper, but all love it, and it's a no brainer to make because you don't have to brown the meat. Got the basics from the "Best of the Best of Great Plains" cookbook.

Louis XIV more over or join me in enjoying my soup. I tried to get ever type onion I could find in my grocery store into this soup. Nine of the ingredients are in the genus Allium family. If you want to stick to one, two or 9 kinds of onion thats fine. But do give it a try! The rich flavor of the base is from the caramelized onions so be sure to have time for them. Sherry is used to enhance the caramelized onion flavor and to deglaze the pan. Bread slices need to be completely dry and toasted to hold the yummy cheese and stay afloat.

    Recipe #203544

A delicious real alphabet soup which is much more nutritionally sound, as well as tastier, than the canned stuff. Recipe from "Stealth Health" Mar/99. In the ingredients, "Dried Italian herb seasoning is just regular dried Italian herb.

    Recipe #112133

Inspired by fish soup often served in Southern France.

These make light and fluffy matzoh balls. If you want hard as a rock matzoh balls (also known as Jewish hand grenades) you'll have to look for a recipe somewhere else.
