This great old restaurant in Southern Ohio is gone now but their premiere recipe lives on! If you try this salad, you won't bother making any other one much again. I just wish that I could say that I invented it.
I had this salad from a deli, then I looked it up on the Dorothy Lynch website and modified it to match the deli version. If you can't find Dorothy Lynch salad dressing look at recipe #113750. It's good for church dinners and for hot days.
We have this at the holidays, like everyone else for 3 generations. It's very easy and very good. A good beginning job for the cooks that want to help. The faster you peel and chop the faster this dish is, lol.
For Larry; he is a Mountain Dew addict. I laughed when I saw this. I can't believe they also have cake and jelly. I am going to have a lot of fun. hehehe i made this and i think for normal use you could cut it in half boy i was eating Jello for DAYS.
Posted in response to a request for a soup popular in Kansas. The recipe was found in a Colorado paper, but by a Kansas chef. I have not made this, see notes below for additional comments. Prep time is estimated.
