Perfection simplified. A rich tasting soup that everyone will think you slaved over. Better than that you get at the fanciest place! The house will smell great too! Slightly freeze the onions for ease in slicing and less tears.

For the best flavor, make the soup a day ahead. Prep time does not include making this a day ahead.

    Recipe #261329

This recipe, slightly tweaked to make it vegetarian, was found in the 2005 cookbook, The Best Recipes in the World.

    Recipe #423590

I got the original recipe from taste of home but changed it to suit our tastes. A delicious Muffin! I think this is my favorite of all! I highly recommend using the nutmeg.

With these treats in the freezer, you're never without dessert. Cooking time does not include freezing time.

Another unique but wonderfully filling soup from the New England Soup Factory - very thick and hearty! (Prep time does not include poaching chicken; this would be a great way to use leftovers!) Found online.

I found this in a vegetarian cookbook. I haven't tried it yet. I'm not sure about the cucumber but you can substiute it for any veggie you like (broccoli, spinach, cauliflower, beets). Use any herbs you enjoy. :-)

I found this recipe on a weight loss website. My family didn't even notice that it was made with fat-free ingredients.

These are fantastic with burgers and steaks, or focaccia or anything that you want to use them with --- these freeze very well, to freeze just divide into small plastic containers then defrost in the microwave or thaw in refrigerator overnight

    Recipe #89007

I developed this marvelous soup way back in 1970 and it has been a favorite French Onion Soup. It takes a while to prepare but is worth it.

    Recipe #41159

This soup is wonderful on a cold day or when feeling the need for comfort food. It is quick and easy to make. I adapted it slightly from a book called All American Low Fat Cooking.

I have been making this for years. It comes from Mable Hoffmans Crockery Cookery.

    Recipe #221937

I found this recipe on the back of the Swanson broth can. I am posting for ZWT3 as this is a classic French recipe and this seems a lot easier than most recipes and doesn't make a TON! There are 580 pages of results for French Onion Soup so I did the best I could to not duplicate! Hope this is ok and I hope this recipe turns out as good as it looks.

It's the dream soup here at the beach, for cold toes and noses. Husband and all family love it. Serve with crusty bread for sure, and salad if you want. When picky daughter gives me thumbs up, I believe! I've been eyeballing my clam chowder recipe for years, this time I wrote it down. I hope you enjoy!

DH was out of town on a business trip and came home raving about this soup. This soup is a wonderful combination of sweet onions (Vidalia work well when in season.), red onions and yellow onions. I was able to find this recipe posted on another web page. Hope you enjoy!

    Recipe #94853

This soup is simple to make after work. My husband thinks it is as good if not better than any we've ever had in a restaurant.

    Recipe #11181

Tastes and smells like Won Ton soup without the wrapper.

    Recipe #160114

Quick and easy soup, very good!
