Inexpensive and RICH in minerals. Which is very easy to consume, digest and absorb. Bone broth is loaded with glycosaminoglycans which is good for your joints. Do use grass fed cattle, wild caught fish, and pasture raised poultry. This can be drank out of a cup, made into a soup, stews, sauces gravies. Hooves, feet and heads are the most gelatinous portions of the animal. It's Not a store bought broths containing brain-cell-killing MSG and artificial who knows what!

Roasting/browning the turkey bones and vegetables firstly in the oven will create a more intense deep rich stock I would not even think of making stock without using this method and you will see the difference for yourself after you try this stock --- I use this stock in so many recipes I even make gravy with it and you will use this for so many things also, it is wonderful to have handy in the freezer, to thaw just microwave for a couple of minutes or refrigerate overnight -- serving amounts are listed for a 12-13 pound turkey and about 4 quarts of water, you may use a larger turkey with more water just make certain to use enough water to cover the carcass and veggies --- if possible don't discard all the extra bones from the legs, thighs and wings and add into the pot along with the carcass the more bones the better!

My first bowl of Clam Chowder in a quaint little restaurant in San Francisco had me knowing I loved this wonderful chowder. While we have enjoyed a good many recipes since, this one has become not only our favorite but a given for our evening meal on Christmas Eve 'our family tradition in the making' We often add an extra can of clams. The original recipe calls for an optional 1/2 teaspoon Curry Powder which we have yet to give a try. Serving size - a guesstimate!

Whatever you may call it this Italian named fish stew or soup or as Rachael Ray would say "Stoup." You can use any kind of white fish your fish monger has fresh like cod (my favorite), catfish, flounder then add some shell fish seasonings and soup it is.

    Recipe #116488

You can use pumpkin puree in place of the butternut squash. For more heat you can add a couple Thai chili's to the soup. Vegan can skip the chicken.
